I created my own objective scoring criteria for the #CFPRankings, rewarding teams for scheduling P4 games and penalizing non-P4 games, only scoring wins and losses for P4 games played, no factor for AP rankings, and here’s how it shakes out:

FACTS! I am VERY Black, and I’ve been to at least 7 Fever games in Indy at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. I’ve sat everywhere from COURTSIDE to the 100s. I can’t go too high because I’m blind LOL 😂, but I’ve been all around that arena! The fanbase I’ve personally experienced has been extremely diverse, with tons of families and kids. I have never personally had an issue.
Y’all are letting online trolls control the narrative yet again.
And to be clear, racism absolutely exists, and anyone can experience racist treatment. But if the claim is that the Fever fanbase in Indy as a whole, or even the majority of it, is racist, then where is the evidence supporting that claim?
There are MANYYYYYYYY Black fans who attend Fever games. So if racism is supposedly this widespread inside Gainbridge, why aren’t we hearing consistent firsthand accounts from Black fans who are actually attending these games?
When All-Star Weekend was in Indy, people from all over came into the city, and we heard countless stories about what a great experience it was. So what exactly changed?
And please, I don’t want screenshots of racist trolls ONLINE. I don’t want posts from anonymous accounts. I don’t want a video of a fan engaging in normal sports banter being presented as “proof” without evidence of racist behavior.
If the claim is that racism is happening inside Gainbridge or among Fever fans attending games in Indy, then show the actual evidence of THAT.
For anyone who needs the definition:
Racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their race or ethnicity.
Racism is serious. That’s exactly why we shouldn’t water the word down or apply it to an entire fanbase without evidence. Call out actual racism every single time it happens. But online trolls do not automatically represent thousands of people sitting inside an arena!!!

The biggest postgame story to me is that IU answered almost every question that came out of the Northwestern game. First road trip, Big Ten opponent, Rutgers had won the previous three meetings — and Indiana finished with 593 yards, 329 rushing, 264 passing, 8.7 yards per play, zero turnovers and zero penalties. Rutgers finished with 254 total yards. The win moves IU to 5-0 and extends the program-record winning streak to 21 games. Rutgers entered tonight with the all-time series tied 5-5, so Indiana now takes a 6-5 lead.
Another 5-yard route on 3rd and 8 comes up short. I’m shocked.
