Someone said Obama supports Abdul and Mamdani because he understands the hate they face, having been through it himself. I believe it’s also about putting country over party and knowing they can deliver.

BREAKING: Putin just lost another ally in Europe, and people are celebrating in the streets. Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia’s authoritarian leader and close ally of Trump and Putin, has officially conceded defeat in a historic snap parliamentary election. The student-led opposition movement has won, ending more than a decade of Vucic’s grip on power. Voter turnout reached nearly 70%, the highest since the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992.

It was a bit stormy on this morning's walk here in Glastonbury. Rain showers and very very windy.

My precious Ashley was only 11 when diagnosed with #BrainCancer on January 24, 2011. What started as back/neck pain in October 2010 turned into blurred vision & severe headaches by January 2011. A CT scan revealed a tumor pressing on her brain stem, with fluid not draining properly. 💔
Emergency surgery removed most of the tumor, but part had grown into her brain stem & couldn’t be fully taken out. She started radiation & Temodar chemo in March. By November, scans showed growth. In December, we learned it was spreading in the brain stem. Our world shattered again.
In 2012, treatments switched to Avastin & Irinotecan infusions. More surgeries followed. Another to relieve pressure in February. By May, speech & walking became impossible. A new lesion appeared, plus more growth in the thalamus/brain stem. Ashley lost feeling on her right side, then speech entirely.
From June to December 2012, she lost all motor skills & couldn’t swallow. A feeding tube kept her nourished. Through every moment, she remained the bravest, strongest girl, never giving up & always shining with hope & love. ❤️
On December 31, 2012, our beautiful Ashley Marie Moore celebrated New Year’s Eve in heaven with Jesus, at just 13 years old. She was unstoppable in spirit, even when her body couldn’t keep up.
Her fight inspired me to found Cancer Response Team (@Nonprofit4Kids) to support other #ChildhoodCancer families. Ashley’s legacy lives on, helping Children get the care they deserve. 💛

Mornings so similar, heavy frost clear blue skies. Trees with leaves still in dull yellow browns. So many just gray fingers reaching upward. Few migrants, crows everywhere! Pond constantly reflecting Autumn. 30ºF headed to 57. Ya'll be careful out there!

“Beauty there is, which no storm can blight;
It will bloom undimmed through winter's night.
Then guard thou well thy heart's sweet flowers,

My garden flowers weathering the storm. #SixOnSaturday

ALT A collage of six photographs of flowers still blooming in an autumn garden, in beautiful shades of pink, magenta and purple. On the left, two pendant fuchsia flowers with crimson-pink sepals and deep purple petals, above a group of bright pink everlasting flowers. At the top centre, delicate clusters of lilac-pink verbena. In the centre, a large, softly coloured pale pink dahlia with a rounded bud above it. At the top right, a vivid pink dahlia with densely layered petals and a darker centre. At the bottom right, deep magenta salvia flowers with dark purple buds. The flowers stand out against softly blurred green, mauve and golden backgrounds, with narrow white borders separating the photographs.
