There are people who expect to hold White Europeans accountable for things their ancestors did 400 years ago…
…while refusing to hold African and Middle Eastern people accountable for things they did on Monday.
These are not serious people.

She's relying on people's innate politeness to override reality.
Her kids are half Scottish (via her Scottish husband), half Nigerian. They are also British citizens. This is a statement of reality, not a statement of moral judgement. This is not saying they are not welcome here. It is about basic reality, about the distinct group of people whose ancestral homeland this is.
English is an ethnicity and if we allow people to redefine it as something civic, then we also allow our continued demographic replacement, because there aren't really any arguments against 'replacing English people with other English people'.
We allowed 'British' to kind of become civic as a compromise, but of course that was never enough, because the people who want to see us replaced are coming for everything. We have to hold the line on this.
The reasons these questions are coming up, is because we are on track to become an ethnic minority in our only country, because of the Tories and Labour and their undemocratic immigration policies.
If they didn't want these questions to surface, they shouldn't have treated their democratic mandates re: immigration with contempt and tried to import the entire world here then call them British or even English.

How is it NOT an ethnicity?!?!
You knew exactly who the English were when we colonised India, and you knew exactly who we were when you threw us out. We're the people who build the countries YOU come running to. You know WHO we are, and WHERE we are - because the only way you seem to be able to make something of yourselves is when you follow us around.
These people are ridiculous.

English is an ethnicity. No amount of fart smelling self aggrandising pontification changes that.
It’s not undermining anyone’s identity. It’s one of the stages of genocide. The denial of a peoples existence.
You’re entirely, utterly and obscenely wrong.

As I’ve said before, I’m not English.
I’m proud to be British. My family and ancestors have a link to Britain which spans centuries.
But in no way are we English. Yes, I was born in England, speak English and support the England football team. And indeed, I love England and the English people.
But to say I’m English is to take a ‘laissez-faire, anything-goes’ attitude to ethnicity, citizenship and identity. It also denies me my Asian heritage. The liberals (many of them in today’s Conservative Party) take this cosmopolitan approach to Englishness. They’re terrified of being called racist so they say that anyone, as long as they’re born here, can be English.
I take the conservative approach. Englishness is an ethnicity. There have been English people for centuries and we need to recognise this more if we are to start taking a more muscular approach to citizenship and nationality. And no, it’s not racist to say this.
Other countries have no qualms in limiting who can be part of their citizenry and use ethnicity and culture as criteria. Here, the dogma of multiculturalism has been so corrosive that some people don’t actually know who we are anymore.

I’m English so when choosing a car wash I choose English or electric, I choose an English barber, with great difficulty I find an English taxi firm, I choose English tradesman… I choose to support my kin not work against them.

For decades, climate scientists said climate change was apocalyptic. It never was, as new UN scenarios prove. Scientists knew this and pushed a falsified scenario anyway. Now exposed, the scientists are falsely claiming that it was their policies that averted catastrophe.

A Burnham claimed yesterday that the 2016 vote for Brexit ushered in a decade of low growth.
He’s right that there’s been low growth, though not just in Britain, which suggests Brexit is not quite the explanation he thinks it is.
I think Brexiteers hard pressed to show that Brexit has been good for growth.
But Remainers lack evidence it has crippled or undermined growth.
In the decade from mid-2016 til mid-2026, the UK had the 3rd biggest growth in real GDP (13%) of the G7. Well behind the US (27%) and Canada (20%) but ahead of France (12%), Italy 10%, Germany 8%, and Japan (6%).
I think we can all agree Japan made a big mistake leaving the EU.

Climate change caused Nepal's deadly flooding, say the media. It's nonsense. In truth, climate activists diverted billions in USAID and UN climate funding from low-cost flood death prevention, mostly sensors and sirens, proven to save lives, into woke green ESG nonsense.

I am bewildered, and not very impressed, by the visceral, naked, irrational hatred spat out by some defenders of Jason Arday. If a Cambridge professor is accused of being an unqualified charlatan, the accusation might be racially motivated. On the other hand it might not, depending on the evidence. The correct question to ask is not, ”What is the colour of his skin” but “Is it in fact true that he is an unqualified charlatan?” Please examine the evidence before leaping to the assumption of racism.
As for the idea that journalists “piled in on him” and “hounded him to his death”, most attacks were against Cambridge University. Jason himself was widely regarded as an unfortunate victim of foolish promotion way beyond his ability to cope. In appointing him to a professorship for which he was manifestly unqualified – in ludicrously describing him as “the best in the world” – certain senior members of the university showed a level of patronising condescension towards black people that could fairly be described as racism, while at the same time making him tragically vulnerable to such attacks as came his way.

In every picture of Arday that I’ve seen he wears an open, beatific expression. His gentle gaze seems to say “I forgive you for your racism ... I know you can’t help it ... I know you regret it ... Here, take my hand ... it will all be okay.” He doesn’t actually have to say anything. He just has to look like that, radiating sincerity and acceptance, and that gaze hits that particular species of sexually frustrated middle-aged white woman who dominates every departmental hiring committee like a 2x4 right between their SSReyes. It stuns them into a sort of a jellied bliss. Arday possessed a kind of basilisk stare of friendliness. Contrast that with the usual run of professional black people, who affect a haughty, aggressive, Black Pantherish countenance, and you can see why AWFLs would flock to him like thirsty goats chasing the mirage of an oasis in the unsheltered noonday sunshine of the Sahara. Arday hypnotized his way into the faculty lounge the same way Rasputin stared his way into the Czar’s court.

None of us needs to "play our part". The mass importation of rapey migrants from the world's worst countries is not some national undertaking that we have agreed to. It is an outrage that has been done to us despite our explicit opposition.
Dan retweeted
You get the same sense with Arday as with the equal pay tribunals - someone has lifted up a rock and people are suddenly seeing just how weird/far from the norm things get in areas where the left has broadly been left to get on with things, out of sight of the rest of us.

The Home Office claims it has removed or deported 70,000 people. Here are the facts:
35% left without officials even realising.
26% were paid to leave.
Just 25% were deportations. And 2/3 of these were Europeans.
This is not control. This is spin.
We are aware of posts circulating online that claim French law enforcement are failing to prevent small boat Channel crossings.
UK-French cooperation has already stopped over 46,000 attempted crossings since the election.
In May alone, 65% of all small boat events were stopped despite soaring temperatures, which have historically led to increased crossings.
But we know there is more to do.
That is why the Home Secretary has signed a landmark new payment by results deal with France to boost enforcement action on beaches and put people smugglers behind bars.
On top of the 46,000 crossing attempts prevented, removals of small boat migrants are at record levels and asylum claims are down by 12%.
We have also removed or deported almost 70,000 people who were here illegally – an increase of 41% – and are going further to remove the incentives that draw illegal migrants to this country.
