I could rant abt this for hours but none of this means that I will ever stop reaching for my dreams. It just means my road is so much fucking longer than others and I can see it and acknowledge that it sucks.

My race/gender in the vtuber space has impacted everything from what ppl will talk to me, to what type of comments I receive online and what opportunities I have received compared to my non-POC and cis coworkers.
We do not live in a race/gender blind society and to believe otherwise is ignorance at best and dangerous at worst. I DO have to work 2X as hard to be seen in this space and thatโs a fact bc we live in a society that hates people who look like me.

Race plays so much of a big role in content creation and more
Especially in the vtubing space
Because a lot of would be just as big as any other creator but the color of our skin, how they see us plays so much into even getting noticed at all.
If it was just as easy for us me and a lot of black creators would be bigger especially since we all have the same taste in games, humor, and also creativity but we have to work just as hard to even get noticed at all

Race most definitely plays a role in how you have to approach content creation.
If black creators had the same opportunities as other creators and were put on equal playing fields as other creators, we wouldnโt need to make our own award shows, showcases, groups, events, communities to be given a fighting chance.
We are constantly insulted, made fun of, whitewashed, ignored, and hated. Every day, we have to learn how to navigate the world of content creating while not giving up who we are and what we represent.
