.@HelloAlice is facing a class action lawsuit for working with Progressive Insurance to
offer $25K grants to 10 Black-owned small businesses.
The lawsuit, led by America First Legal, says the grant program violated civil rights by only allowing Black business owners to apply.
Art of Living is a fucking cult. Their followers are fanatics. I have been trying to unsubscribe from their creepy organization for 10 years and they respond by increasing the overly enthusiastic emails and phone calls. Leave me the HELL alone, PLEASE. #ArtOfLiving @ArtofLiving

It's increasingly clear to me that the colonial mindset is at the root of this attitude. It's what underlies the TESCREAL bundle of ideologies. It's caused profound harms over the past few centuries, is driving the climate catastrophe, and justifies fantasies of plundering space.

If I have to read another comment about how the West created harmony or that it’s really the only thoroughly developed harmonic tradition (from a mod, no less) my eyes’ll roll so far back in my head they’ll snap
First PNW #earthquake! I woke up to everything sort of shuddering and rocking. Love how each earthquake feels different!

You’d never be able to tell what happened by this headline. LAPD shot and killed someone yesterday.
The media continues to be complicit in police violence:

It's happening. I've resumed work on redesigning and rebooting my Pirates of Dark Water site. It's a huge effing undertaking, but I swear I'm going to make it happen this time.

Oscar-nominated director Sophia Nahli Allison describes what working with Lizzo on her documentary was like before she dropped out and a white man took over:
“Lizzo creates an extremely toxic and hostile working environment and undermines the work, labor, and authority of other black and brown womxn in the process. (Notice how the documentary ended up being directed by a cis white man.)”

TOMORROW is #August1stTweetOutDay. Join me, @MzSgtPepper & the WHOLE WORLD in NOT tweeting for 24 hrs. I won't dignify accusations that this is a political statement when it is, in fact, simply an experimental STUNT because I'm bored & wanna see what happens. #TweetlessTuesday

Today I really realised the importance of smaller and free prides like @BoltonPride, I don’t speak to my family anymore but I got to watch @ladybushraOG with South Asian women and their families today. People who represent my mother, aunts and grandmother and it was emotional 🥲

Twitter/X runs an movie promotions account with nearly 7 million followers called @TwitterMovies. It has yet to undergo the same X rebrand as other corporate accounts because if it did and used the same name configuration, it would have the same name as a hardcore porn site.
