When it comes to social media and life generally, everyone thinks they are either Job (put through the wringer for no reason) or Solomon (a font of wisdom).
Usually, we are Eliphaz (more useful when we are quiet).

If there’s one thing we can all agree on it’s that the first Saturday watching football without political ads is going to be glorious

The passive voice here from a man who was instrumental in US foreign policy for almost a decade (and was nicknamed Hamas by other WH staffers) is a tell. Portraying himself as a hapless observer says something about his character, just not what he thinks he is revealing.
This from @brhodes is probably the best description of how the Democratic foreign policy elite has gone about the mundane perpetuation of US power in the post-Obama era.
In 2000, I saw Dubya in a rope line and said I was an undecided voter. He shook my hand and said, "Remember who looked you in the eye and asked you for your vote."

I believe that Kirk Ferentz was offended when Wisconsin fired Paul Chryst and has decided to destroy them at every opportunity.
Who are your five favorite teams you have ever rooted for?
Mine:
1. 2026 Brewers
2. 2014-15 Badgers MBB
3. 1993 Badgers FB
4. 1992 Brewers
5. 1989 Packers
Just a reminder that every Wisconsin pro sports team has won a title more recently than their Minnesota or Illinois counterparts:
Baseball: 2026 vs 2016 (ChiC), 2005 (CWS), 1991 (Min)
Football: 2011 vs 1986 (Chi), never (Min)
Basketball: 2021 vs 1998 (Chi) never (Min)

I periodically argue against tenure and civil service firing protections, and am berated by teachers and professors saying "How would you like it if your boss could just fire you because they didn't like you?" as if the very idea would shock me.

Just remember:
There is a 16 year old boy in the Bronx who has witnessed more Brewers' World Series titles than Yankees' titles.
