I have been reviewing this new CCTV footage from the Barcelona metro (Plaça d'Espanya station), and it remains one of the most powerful documentations of human reflex ever captured. The woman you see is off-duty police officer Felisa Pozas. The moment she noticed a disoriented man swaying near the edge, she didn't look away, she used the SOS intercom and, alongside three heroic bystanders, jumped onto the tracks just seconds before the train arrived. We are constantly told that modern society is cold, detached, and paralyzed by fear. But true human nature isn't defined by our anxieties—it’s revealed in these split-second choices. In a fraction of a second, total strangers synchronized their energy, defied the instinct of self-preservation, and pulled a life back from the edge. True compassion isn’t a slow, intellectual decision; it’s an ancient, unstoppable reflex that bypasses our modern ego. Are we inherently more connected than the digital world forces us to believe? 👇
