Today is a day of solidarity with Palestinian journalists, left alone to report from Gaza after Israel barred international press access for three years and killed around 280 Palestinian journalists. Be the voice of Gaza’s victims. Amplify their message.

Fascinatingly, the open letter to Iranian prisoners was written in English and published in the Guardian, not a text available to them, nor to the Iranian people – who might have preferred it in Farsi. This is not a text for the Iranian prisoners. This is a text for Western liberals to recover their sense of superiority.

We are humbled to present the largest oral archive of testimony from Gaza produced since the genocide began, a collective memorial to the journalists who gave their lives to tell their people’s stories. LISTEN: bit.ly/livingrecord

A man was denied medical care for his cancer in NY's Green Haven prison. DOCCS even failed to tell him it spread. He's 61 & served 15 years (for attempted burglary). Does New York really need to punish him more? Let him get treatment in the community and try to live.

“We should not be afraid to criticize ourselves about racism. We are all racists, not because we want to be, but because we are taught to be that way, to keep us divided, because it benefits the capitalist system. And this applies to racism toward Asians, other Brown people, and toward white people. White people are not all the oppressor-capitalists are. We will never have socialism until we are free of these chains on our mind.” - Denise Oliver-Velez, 1972 (RIP)

We are at the State Capitol with the #CommunitiesNotCages campaign demanding that our lawmakers pass the Second Look Act, Earned Time Act and Marvin Mayfield Act. People change, and our sentencing laws must change, too.

⭕️ JUST IN: At least 40 people, including civilians and members of the Venezuelan military, were killed in the attack, according to preliminary assessments, a senior Venezuelan official reportedly told the New York Times. U.S. forces deployed more than 150 aircraft to eliminate air defenses, clearing the way for helicopters to insert troops who then moved on President Nicolás Maduro’s location, the outlet said citing U.S. officials. More on the operation from Jack Murphy of The High Side in the post in reply.

The EU’s €90bn loan to Ukraine is NOT a Belgium win or German loss. Stop framing everything as bilateral bargaining. This is the first common borrowing by a sub-group of member states - unanimous (V3 accepted the deal but opted out) and pragmatic. It shows the EU can adapt its institutional tools to new realities. The transactional narrative is the real threat to European solidarity.

“Well, but we’re talking about five or six guys, just let them out.” Jeremy Scahill told Electronic Intifada that Palestinian negotiators said Trump officials made this remark to Israel when Israel objected to releasing top Palestinian prisoners like Marwan Barghouti, Ahmad Sa’adat, and Abdullah Barghouti. Unlike Biden officials, who he said mirrored Israeli hard lines, Trump’s team appears more indifferent—treating top figures as bargaining chips rather than red lines. Resistance leaders see this as a slim opening, though Israel continues to oppose freeing them. @jeremyscahill | @intifada
Jeremy Scahill on Electronic Intifada live: “My understanding from resistance sources is that there may be well over 4,000 Palestinians that were taken by Israel—either because they were captured during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, or they were literally kidnapped to use for this purpose for an exchange of captives… several hundred children, and you have women. And it says in the agreement that all of the women and children are going to be released as part of this exchange.”
