Been highlighting SNP hypocrisy, lies, and incompetence since just after indy ref. Never thought they would self-destruct as quickly as they are doing.

Between candidates: - with invalid right to work -with lack of vetting on social media - showing of their sports cars while being "green" - not paying council tax and lying about their past This had been a fantastic election. Well done everyone.

Turns out the Labour government is baffled by the fact that Poundland, a company that sells high volume goods at rock bottom prices with very thin margins, might go bankrupt after they’ve continually increased their labour costs That’s astoundingly cretinous
🚨NEW: Business Secretary Jonathon Reynolds' team has written to the owner of Poundland to "establish the latest situation" amid concerns the retailer could soon collapse into administration 12,000 jobs are at risk

Gaza's Ministry of Health recently released data demolishing the "famine" claim. Non-violent deaths in 2025 are nearly the same as pre-war with no apparent excess malnutrition deaths. This should be welcome news but is ignored as it would mean so many "experts" were so wrong.

Does anyone one else think Israel might have had a hand in the train crash in Spain?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Transport officials determined the crash was caused by a computer failure in the rail safety system and human error by controllers who authorized one train to proceed at full speed into a stationary one. apnews.com/article/train-… reuters.com/world/two-high… bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Guys. The Ghosts movie is out now. I'm a movie fan, go every week or two, but have seen absolutely no marketing for it. Thought I'd share it here in case you didn't know either

In Israel, Muslims had the highest voter turnout out of any group. Under Palestinian rule, it’s literally illegal to sell land to a Jew. Guess which is accused of apartheid?

In 1999 you had to earn over 4x the minimum wage to be considered a higher earner on the 40% rate. Today just 1.8x the minimum wage considered high earner! If the same minimum-wage-to-high-earner ratio was applied from 1999 you’d have to earn over £115k before hitting the 40% income tax rate. We’re seeing a level of wage compression that would make a Soviet era socialist blush.

See this Labour Govt have sneaked in a little 4% increase in the tax you’ll pay on your interest above your appropriate personal savings allowance. So taxed when you first earn it, and taxed even more you save and earn interest.

Love the community note
Wait a minute, on gas prices... By moving the cost of the standing charge on to the unit rate - has Andy Burnham actually just put up energy bills for the majority of Scots? We are colder country & have to put the heating on more, the more gas we use, the higher price we pay!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Doogan himself has stood in the House of Commons and demanded the redistribution of the standing charge to the unit price claiming it will lower bills and reduce carbon emissions. x.com/staylorish/sta…

I earn £100 grand a year. I have a detached house. 2 cars and my wife is a full time home maker. I can just about afford this. I probably couldn’t afford the house I own if I was buying for the first time today. My salary puts me in the top 5% of earners in the UK. Top 5% to have a similar standard of living to Homer Simpson. That is a disgrace. We have a flatter salary distribution than Soviet Russia and the highest taxes and borrowing costs we’ve seen in generations. Success is almost impossible because our tax system means hard work makes you a stressed out tax cow, not wealthy and certainly not free. We need something radical. Less state. More family. Less handouts. More reward for risk. Instead. Tomorrow, Labour will offer another batch of policies which will send one message to aspirational Brits: why bother.
I read a piece in the FT this week about the price of being middle class in Britain now and it said a couple earning £436,000 combined take home £216,000. That’s a crazy amount of tax, and it doesn't include VAT on purchases, council tax, stamp duty or other taxes (I think does include pension contributions). I can’t stop thinking about it.

Good news for energy security. Maggie Chapman is predictably against it. Preferring internittent and costly renewables. Despite those power sources being partly responsible for high energy costs here, not gas as is wrongly claimed in the article. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cmvg…

How can Palestine be both an occupied territory and be part of Israel so they get a vote in Israeli elections?
Over 4 million Palestinians are not allowed to vote so again I answer: yes apartheid.
