It’s been 4 years since Sarah Everard was abducted, raped, and murdered as she walked home. It was a crime that brought the issue of male violence against women to the forefront of public discussion. Yet, 4 years later we’re still as unsafe as ever.
Devastated by this news. Not only was my training at BOVTS one of the best years of my life, but the training, community and ensemble I experienced has been instrumental to my career. What a loss for future artists
Oh my goodness, this is grim. Bristol Old Vic Theatre School ends undergraduate training over cost issues thestage.co.uk/news/bristol-…
Ballet Shoes at the National last night was proper food for the soul, heart warming, stuff of magic. I read the book more times than I can count growing up and seeing it on stage did something magical for little Sofia. Take everyone you know. PURE JOY! 🩰🦖🦴❤️@NationalTheatre

sally rooney talking abt how her husband made her a better writer bc of the way he loves her ….. i did not need to read this at eight thirty four in the morning like i didnt even get a chance to try and be happy today i guess

ALT A quote by Sally Rooney that reads: "Having had this experience of falling in love when I was very young, with somebody who completely transformed my life, and transforms it every day, has allowed me to write stories about people whose lives are transformed by love," she says. "Without that, I don't think my work would be recognisable. Just his presence in my life made it possible for me to write everything that I've written.

not a lot of people know that "Sally Rooney: Intermezzo" is an anagram of "merely a nine złoty's orzo". 9 złoty is about £1.50, which from Morrisons gets you 500g of orzo - just 60g less than the weight of *Intermezzo* in hardback. a fun "easter egg" from faber and faber
Couldn’t recommend SCAFFOLDING @documentaltheat @LucyBellSW anymore. Gorgeously tender and heartbreaking piece of writing for the ages. 1740 @ pleasance dome!

Olivia Colman says she hates how proud some people are about not liking fizzy drinks.
“Well done on being boring,” she said
🧵Honoured to be directing HAMBLETT, a one-woman show written and performed by the unequivocal Olivia Hamblett, about her inoperable brain tumour. Really, it's a (rather funny) love letter to life (and growing up in Stratford-u-Avon w a very ironic surname)
Liv and I grew up together, so it's gorgeous to have made this deeply personal and moving show together. I would LOVE some friendly faces to support this show, (which I'm also calling an ode to wine gums) Xxxxx tickets.edfringe.com/whats-o…

When I take my seat up to six times a day in fringe venues over the coming days, I will remind myself that every show is a miracle. But theatre should not have to rely on miracles; we need investment. thestage.co.uk/opinion/edinb…

I'm thrilled to have just accepted a place @LAMDAdrama, my dream drama school, on the 2-year MFA Professional Acting course!
Unfortunately I've got a way to go to afford it. I'd be so grateful if you could check out my GoFundMe to see how you can help:

Going to the Edinburgh fringe is like running the London marathon
You pay for it in cash body and soul
You expect people to support you like you’re going to war
No one asked you to do it
