This is my goal for All Pro Football 2K8. This is now achievable and I can finally envision this in a football I enjoy playing.
Here are all the classic scenarios/moments currently in the mod (in order)! All with accurate rosters 😎
I've been modding more classic moments to play across different NFL eras in my ESPN NFL 2K5 project. The game's original moments now have fully accurate rosters and depth charts too!
Still need to get field art/era specific uniforms/stadiums accurate for each scenerio.
I use AI to help me mod sports games. All of these breakthroughs you see on your timeline these days are assisted by AI. Some don’t disclose this, because when you do, the luddites appear and harass you.
I don’t charge money for anything I create. My mods are gifts to the community. If you want to call that “slop”, go ahead. But my goodness the anti-AI crowd seems very stupid. It’s pure cope at this point.
You can not like AI, you can be uncomfortable about AI, you can not agree with the ethics in which it was trained, but you sound like an idiot if you call AI “useless” or act like it isn’t impressive right now 😂
It’s been shocking, as someone who’s always supported open source software and community made mods, to see this group attacking individuals for empowering themselves with AI to indirectly defend massive corporations. They’d rather pay for Adobe’s subscription than support a random software engineer using Claude to assist in creating a free alternative…
Strange times. I find this topic fascinating personally. Things are only going to get stranger too!

I threw Opus 5.5 at Tecmo Super Bowl, asked it to turn it into a pseudo-3D version of the game, and it just worked!
AI is incredible right now. But if you can reverse engineer essentially anything, is creating proprietary software over? And what are the consequences of that?
Tecmo Super Bowl is a pretty simple game too. My ESPN NFL 2K5 modding progress shows that frontier AI tools can do just about anything with far more complex pieces of software. Which then makes me wonder about the future of software…

A modern 32 team Tecmo Super Bowl rom contains 960 players. Someone put together a rom that has 2,963 players which includes practice squads.
