Bengaluru’s Meter Auto & Taxi Movement Just Got a Powerful Voice! ❤️ A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Upendra Sir for recognising and supporting NAGARA — a people-oriented, community-led initiative built on the principles of fairness, transparency, and service. NAGARA is more than just an app. It is a movement to bring fare fairness and service reliability to digital ride-hailing. 💚 Government-approved meter fares 🤝 Fairness for commuters and drivers Built on Prajakeeya principles, NAGARA believes that our services should be judged by performance alone. 🙏 Thank you,@nimmaupendra Sir, for your valuable support and encouragement! We seek the support of every Bengaluru citizen. All it takes is to search for your next ride on NAGARA. We will continue working hard to bring more professional drivers online. And yes, you can even street-hail a NAGARA ride! Let’s support fair fares. Let’s support our drivers.

There is.....there are 5 public transport projects slated to help people move through hebbal currently. 3 metro projects : red, blue and orange line. 2 suburban rail projects : coridors 2 and 4. These are the kind of projects that will make a difference. Not this stupid tunnel.

I’m trying, but no one accepted my ride! - Have you ever felt this way while trying to book an auto or taxi on NAGARA? If yes, we want to share why this is happening and what we’re doing to solve it. Dear Bengaluru, Some of you have successfully booked rides on NAGARA and experienced our service. Some of you have tried multiple times but couldn’t find a driver. We understand your frustration, and we want to be transparent about why this is happening. The problem is a classic chicken-and-egg situation. We onboard drivers onto the NAGARA platform, but many initially stay active for only a few days. If they don’t receive enough ride requests, they stop opening the app. Meanwhile, we promote NAGARA through communities, word of mouth, and our social media channels. When this creates a buzz and customers start booking, there aren’t always enough drivers online to fulfil those requests. By the time we spread the message to more drivers that rides are coming in, some customers have already become frustrated and stopped trying. We realised that to solve this problem, we need to bring both sides together at the same time. 🚀 Our plan to break this cycle We’re actively reaching out to our driver community and encouraging them to stay online, with a clear message: From October 13 onwards, we want more drivers to be active and ready to serve Bengaluru. The response has been encouraging! More than 1,000 drivers have already started coming online, and we’re working towards having 2,000+ professional auto and taxi drivers active on NAGARA. This is an important step towards making rides more accessible and reliable for our customers. 💚 Dear Bengaluru, we need your support! NAGARA is built around a simple idea: supporting professional drivers while helping commuters access auto and taxi rides at government-approved meter fares. We know we still have work to do to improve ride availability. We’re working on it, and we need your participation to make this movement successful. 🙏 The next time you need an auto or taxi, please give NAGARA a try. If you receive a ride, share your experience with your friends, family, apartment communities, and colleagues. Every successful ride helps build confidence among both customers and drivers. The more customers book, the more opportunities drivers see. The more drivers stay online, the better the experience becomes for customers. Let's build Bengaluru's meter-fare mobility ecosystem together. One ride at a time.

I spoke about the purpose/restructuring education in the time of AI. This was a year ago, to a room full of teachers. This was in Kannada (my mother tongue). Maybe of interest to my Kannada friends here.

#DearDKFlyoverYaake Join our human chain on 100 Ft Road Indiranagara protesting against the upcoming Elevated Corridors at 11 AM on October 11th!
Do you see the R.V Road green cover on the right side of the video ? That is where B-SMILE wants to build a down ramp for yet another unwanted unscientific elevated corridor. We must save Bengaluru from the clutches of B-SMILE.

A fair ride should never depend on paying extra. The move against advance tipping and misleading booking prompts is an important step towards making app-based mobility more transparent and fair for everyone. At Nagara, we believe every ride should be simple and transparent — government-approved meter fare, no surge pricing, and no advance tips. Customers deserve to know exactly what they are paying, while drivers deserve a fair earning opportunity without unnecessary pressure. Because a ride should be accepted for its fair fare — not because someone pays extra. Nagara — Fair Fare. Always Meter Fare.

@Tejasvi_Surya ಅವರ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ! 1.3 ಕೋಟಿ ವಾಹನ, 70 ಫ್ಲೈಓವರ್ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಇದೆ. B-SMILE ₹1.5 ಲಕ್ಷ ಕೋಟಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದೆ, ಈಗ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇನ್ನೂ 25 ಫ್ಲೈಓವರ್! ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಎಲ್ಲಿ? BMLTA ನ್ನು ದುರ್ಬಲಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ಸಮಗ್ರ ಯೋಜನೆ ತೋರಿಸಿ. FULLY SUPPORT @Tejasvi_Surya 1.3 Cr vehicles. 42 flyovers + 28 underpasses ALREADY. Traffic still worst. B-SMILE announced ₹1.5 Lakh Cr car-centric projects. Now BTP proposes 25 MORE flyovers! Does this mean earlier plan FAILED? Stop planning in silos! Restore BMLTA power. Show us scientific study, simulation & CMP before building. #SaveBengaluru @blrPrajaVedik @solidview @DTDevareSubhash @Citizens4Sankey @citizensforblr
Bengaluru has 1.3 crore vehicles. Now the Traffic Police have proposed 25 new flyovers and underpasses. B-SMILE has already announced ₹1.5 lakh crore in urban infrastructure, all of it car-centric. Now, another department is proposing another 25 projects. Does this mean the earlier plan is admitted as a failure? How many more agencies will announce flyovers? Bengaluru cannot have BTP, B-SMILE, GBA and BDA planning in silos while the BMLTA, created for integrated transport planning, is weakened. I have sought the scientific studies, traffic simulations and impact assessments behind these 25 proposals. The Government must show Bengaluru a comprehensive mobility plan to reduce congestion, not just another list of projects. @krishnabgowda @GBAChiefComm @blrcitytraffic
