Support victims to report it if they want to, but don’t force them. Re-traumatization is a very real problem (reliving the trauma of abuse by repeatedly telling their story). Often, victims are forced to prove their stories. This becomes difficult when the abuse was covert.

There aren’t enough ways to thank our sponsors @solutCAN @TD_Canada @AthabascaU & Shores Jardine LLP. You really STEPPED UP & for that, so many #yegwomen & families will be able to take steps away from #domesticviolence. Thank you! #WaMyeg #yeg

Had a blast visiting the @solutCAN team "If the Solut Fits" last week, giving them some tips to practice walking in heels before #WalkAMile. Interested in a visit from us to learn more about Domestic Violence supports and #WaMyeg? Let us know. #endDV #TalkTheTalkWalkTheWalk

It's #ThankYouThursday and today is all about @solutCAN. This is a great organization that we are so proud to have in our corner. Not only do they do great things for us on a daily basis as our IT gurus, they are also sponsors of #WaMyeg – and they've signed up a #WalkAMile team

By offering a safe, enriching environment & modelling healthy relationships + coping skills, we look to ensure that families have the opportunity to break the cycle of violenceas they heal & build resilience. The strength of the community relies on its people: please vote.
