So I watched The Invite again this morning and it's definitely one of my favorite films of the 2020s. Of course I'm still rooting for Penelope Cruz to win her second Oscar, but I also would love to see Olivia Wilde get nominated for Best Actress AND Director. LOVE this one.

THAT. WAS. BRILLIANT. This should most definitely win BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY. Olivia Wilde is MVP here. She shocked the shit outta me. She shows LOVERLY comedic timing, and one-eighties to some pretty dramatic moments. Wilde, Rogen, Norton, and Cruz ALL deserve to get nominated.

Olivia Wilde better win at least AN OSCAR for The Invite. Her work in that film is seriously next level, both as a director and actor. I really hope she wins Best Director. I want more women directors recognized, and she legitimately did the best directing of the year.
