This moment from the first Mario movie doesn't get talked about enough. I like how natural this conversation is, and the turtle thing even gets a payoff at the end. It just gives these characters so much character.

i don't have any particularly strong feelings about this movie but we gotta stop calling everything we don't like "soulless/bland" when it's obviously not. it's fine to just say "i didn't like it personally, not my thing." you couldn't connect with it, but thousands of ppl could

Just gonna say it, the Mario movie was one of the most soulless & bland pieces of entertainment I ever watched. An hour and a half of a recognizable IP’s iconography being shoved in your face with no real story, character development or anything to connect with emotionally.

Shigeru Miyamoto has challenged everyone to count all the different Mario characters that appear while watching ‘THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE’. “It’s the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario series. A multitude of characters from the history of the series will appear one after another. Try to count them if you can.”

Yep, that’s a big name to lead a potential Star Fox movie in the future the same way Seth Rogen is gonna lead the Donkey Kong movie.

Y’all are soooo negative. Not every character they show will be a main character. He could just be there to help establish the overarching Nintendo universe. He may have a few lines and be in the movie for like 2 minutes.
