A quick note from my dad on the 1 Year anniversary of his quadruple heart bypass. Some of you will know that we were planning to post a video of his account of all the events and experiences surrounding his unexpected admission to hospital and the month long process it took him to return home after a truly extraordinary but life saving time away. Today we attempted a casual recording but found it was simply too intense to relive and to try to articulate on camera (my dad isn’t a selfie generation kid like me!) and he was worried that his account and the stressful details and his thoughts along the way, seemed far too negative and would potentially deter people from seeking help or give them more fear at a life saving time. Based on that I cancelled today’s video which was the only correct choice, my dad wanted to make sure that I passed on his thanks for all of the support that was shown by thousands of people world wide, not just to him but also to me and our wider family. While he was stuck in bed recovering he had very little to distract himself as the weeks drew on, so he almost certainly saw your reactions, comments and well wishes at the time!
