One of the hardest parts of building a startup is resisting the temptation to jump from one idea to another before you’ve given any of them enough time to compound.

I will be one of them✨
Some founders are going to make millions over the next five years solving problems that everyone else thinks are too boring.

But I genuinely don't understand the argument about pregnancy. It's foolish, very foolish. Childbirth is recognised as one of the most painful human experiences, yet some people still argue. SMH

At this point, female doctors (especially those who have given birth) should come out and enlighten everyone, including the male doctors. Because you people have the real experience. I have not been able to face one woman for long. All because her child went into labour, gave birth to a baby, and bled to death. I don't know how to say that kind of sorry. Because till tomorrow, it feels unbelievable. Husbands wait with so much unrest in front of the labour room, not because they want to know the gender of the child. "Doctor, how's my wife?" That's the first question. Even though the woman walked in very fine. When sensitive topics like this are up, I expect professionals to handle them professionally. And help calm the tension. And fears that might arise from it. Whether it's your wife or not, it is an extremely sad thing that a woman dies in childbirth. It is traumatic even for the husband, and I know people who have not recovered from the shock. Especially when the baby is alive, and they will continue to see the baby. Countering it with negative statements and curses all over the timeline is something that falls short of professionalism. All health professionals know that Psychology is as important as anything in medicine. The person who tweeted "Pregnancy is a death sentence" would not have tweeted that out of nowhere. Maybe she just lost someone because of that. Maybe she had a near-death experience from same thing. Maybe... And there are a lot of people with same reasoning. It's well. My prayer for every woman is that as you go in safely, you shall come out rejoicing. Just like that of the Hebrew women. With your beautiful bouncing baby.

A woman says pregnancy feels like a death sentence, yet some men who will never know what it’s like to go through that risk are crashing out and wishing actual death on women for sharing their experience.

“Na you just want die from pregnancy.” But expect me not to not call you out, because we are “Twitter Friends”. I will call you out. No, I will not enter your DM. It is important that the world sees, that I do not share your views. I don’t associate with despicable humans.

I brought my team to Moonshot and they came back to say that the moment they mentioned Lenora, many people asked about me and were more receptive.🥹 I also experienced the perceptions people had about our work in real time with how I kept getting introduced to important people & I really just want to say now more than ever, it’s so important to chronically tell the stories behind your journey to excellence as a builder. I even took the mic to ask a question at the storytelling surgery session with @WimbartHope @victorfatanmi & @AishaSalaudeen, I introduced myself as a storytelling consultant & Founder, and someone ( out of many btw ) walked up to me after to say they would like to work with me. I also went the extra mile to share my thoughts with another Founder who had asked a question in the session about storytelling for his business and when I finished talking to him, he was so ecstatic and asked if he could hug me and we also exchanged numbers. No event happens without hiccups, but the quality of experience, conversation and people at Moonshot this year was to die for! I’m so grateful that I got to experience how much of a gem this was and I’m so excited to uncover the opportunities in the connections I’ve made in the last two days. I’m currently ill, my voice is completely gone but the courage & conviction I have about this as the marking of a new beginning? None of you naysayers can steal it from me and we’ll be here in months to come to talk about the aftermath.🙏🏽✨ Thank you so much @TechCabal, Mr Damola Aladekomo, Tomiwa Aladekomo, @lone_Ranger95 and every single person on the team! Special mention to you my queen @eboigbeanita, I know you’ll probably going to give me the look😭 but I’m forever in awe and gratitude to you for how much you’ve done in showing me commitment to excellence pays off. I won’t let you down!🧡✨

I can trace at least 60% of my revenue and professional network today to conferences I attended over the years. Many of the people I met at these events are now peers, collaborators, or senior colleagues in influential positions across the industry. In a world where almost every interaction has become digital, physical conferences remain incredibly valuable. Beyond networking, they expose you to fresh perspectives, challenge your existing theories, spark business ideas, and sometimes give you just enough motivation to keep going. Please, don't let anyone discourage you from attending a conference you genuinely want to attend. Sometimes, the knowledge, relationships, information, resources, or access you need for your next big leap are sitting in a room you haven't entered yet. Not every investment in your career will give you an immediate return. Some will compound for years.

Let me give you this OT before that your next big networking event. The best time to connect with your ‘heroes’ is when you are already doing something of value and achieving relative success at it. They will want to be associated with you too, infact, they will eventually seek you out if you don’t.

I see lots of people talking about the amounts of fintechs in Nigeria and the need to explore other sectors.. I’m building something huge in health tech, launching next month and I’m looking to connect with investors , and key partners in healthcare, let’s work together

I’ve realised that this job isn’t for someone who needs constant external validation or positive reinforcement. In the early stages, most of the feedback you get from the market is negative. You have to be able to keep going despite that, maintain your conviction, and push through until you find the right fit.

Building a startup in Nigeria is technically easy. There are so many problems to solve, but distribution and adoption are brutallll.

Hi @Saamu_Eleja this is an appreciation post for inviting me to the first moonshot event, I attended and also sponsoring my logistics likewise. You had a conviction my product would get a cheque from last year edition even when I least expected. It happened! You be OG! ❤️🎉
