It is Day 2 of Bonnie and Clyde week! 🤍
Despite being incredibly sick and malnourished, these two don't seem to realise it at all. True to their Golden Retriever nature, they are still so playful, happy, and smiling all day long. It is inspiring to see their beautiful, goofy spirits shining through, even when their bodies have been through so much. We are doing everything to get them healthy again, but for now, we are just soaking up their joyful energy.🩷

It’s amazing how fresh Birdie is. Look at that big wet nose and how clear her eyes are.
She’s hiding from a storm today in the office.
She says she is going to live forever ❤️

This was exceptional information. I hope the people that need to hear it, do.

She was utterly alone and broken as a little puppy. She couldn't even walk.
Looking at little Skye today is a thing of pure beauty. The size of her!!!

This was little Skye when I found her. She was a tiny puppy screaming in pain on a building site. The end was near.
Locals had tried to treat her pain with baby cough syrup in a syringe.
We got her just in time and you should see her today.. (1/6) 🧵

Today, October 27, 2026, based on a KSAT 12 news reports.
A Travis County judge just ordered Gov. Greg Abbott to stop blocking his Democratic challenger, State Rep. Gina Hinojosa, from inspecting his private communications with Elon Musk. Hinojosa sued on Oct. 19 after Abbott's office refused her request under the Texas Public Information Act. His office had already turned over 1,374 pages for an earlier records request, but her lawsuit says nearly all of it was blacked out, and that Abbott argued some of the messages were "intimate and embarrassing."
Under Texas law, a sitting legislator can request government records, including confidential ones, for legislative purposes. Abbott’s office acknowledged it had already collected and assembled the documents but still refused to let Hinojosa inspect them, the lawsuit alleges.
The filing also lays out an extensive financial relationship between Abbott and Musk: $54 million in state grants to SpaceX, $1.7 billion in school tax breaks for Musk's Terafab project, and at least $500,000 from Musk to Abbott. It also notes Musk asked Abbott if he would "have his back" and Abbott responded, "I said 100%," according to the filing.
TELL ME you all read the part where @GregAbbott_TX argued that some of the messages between him and @elonmusk were "intimate and embarrassing."
TEXAS VOTERS — tell me you read the part where @GovAbbott have...
- $54 million of YOUR TAX DOLLARS in grants to @elonmusk SpaceX
- $1.7 billion of YOUR TAX DOLLARS in school tax breaks to Elon's Terafab project
- Musk gave at least $500,000 to @GregAbbott_TX @GovAbbott

Just days ago, we thought we were losing our beautiful Birdie, but our girl had other plans 🩷
And as soon as she was strong enough, she made her way back home. Back to her little retirement village and the life she's come to love so much.
It's moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.
Because if Birdie was still living on the streets, this might have been the end of her story.
But instead, she has a safe place to grow old. A bed to curl up in, friends to spend her days with, and people who love her more than she'll ever know.
And the best part is that none of this would be possible without the incredible community of people who care about dogs like Birdie.
You've helped give her something she never had before. A life worth fighting for 🥰

Last week I was asked if we could take 2 golden retrievers who had been surrendered. As soon as I saw the video of them looking frail, broken and unwell I agreed. 2 very kind ladies fought for their freedom and drove the dogs to meet our team today.
The story is complicated and I won’t go into it here. What I can share is that a third sibling died. Although these 2 dogs look ok at first glance there are so many problems. Their fluffiness is covering some very malnourished and unhealthy dogs. Despite that their tails won’t stop wagging.
The ladies who saved them named them Bonnie and Clyde. The perfect names for 2 dogs on the run from their past and hoping to start a new life with us.
There are a lot more questions than answers right now for these 2. What I do know is that we will try our very best to save them, build them back up and make better lives for them. Bonnie and Clyde have had some early treatments and are sleeping beside each other in the hospital.
Let’s see what we can do 🤞❤️

Frank has been through far more than any dog should. 💔 Abandoned, deaf, incredibly sick, and severely malnourished, this beautiful boy needed urgent help. We promised to do everything we could to save him.
Today? He is up, running, and bulked up like a completely different dog! Seeing him so strong and happy makes it all worth it. We are so proud of you, Frank!

Sometimes, all it takes is a little love to bring someone back to life❤️
When we first rescued Polly, she was hidden beneath severely matted fur and covered in hundreds of ticks, but now her fur is growing back beautifully, her little personality is shining through, and she couldn't be happier🥰
And now, Polly is ready for the next chapter of her life! She's officially looking for a forever home in Thailand🇹🇭
If you want to know more about Polly, you can head to the Adoptable Dogs page on our website or click here happydoggo.com/adoptable-dog…
