Everyone: "Vibe coding is causing all these security bugs" Reality: PHP, Node, Linux kernel, GitLab. All hand-written code by humans, some of it 20 years old. AI isn't creating the slop. It's finding it 🫠

I watched the whole thing. It was powerful.
The new Zelenskyy interview with @StevenBartlett is one of the best he has ever given. I know it’s a bit long, but if you have time to watch the whole thing, I highly recommend it. Steven gives Zelenskyy the space to share the human cost and real emotions of this war from his own perspective and through his daily contact with the people most affected. I don't think any other host has managed to get him to open up like this. It’s well worth watching, even if you don't follow the war closely. Truly a great interview and a powerful conversation.

I'm honestly game-planning the idea of doing this on a motorcycle (which I don't currently own) in 4 years, but wow. Had to look at plugshare anyway.

"Choose projects that get better as compute scales." Interesting line.

Jev @typesafeai can literaly save lives!! made it detect drowning from video footage. It watches over your kids at the pool for less than $2.5/hr
the new jev image model can help you with one of the world's hardest questions, when is the toast done? use a toast as each step of your Score.

I can't help but think that Russia attacking Kyiv's datacenters was their Napoleon-marching-into-Moscow moment. They fucked up real good. Iran set the precedent with AWS me-south-1, but Russia just had to crack open Pandora's box a little further.

Now for all of us who just have this niggling feeling something isn't quite right - people we know act rational in one context but suddenly holds beliefs we cannot reconcile, just can't figure out where they're coming from...

...Turns out the hydra has fewer heads than we thought, and Ukraine just obliterated quite a few of them over the past week.

Fucking love it. After what they've dealt with, let Ukraine have their Dresden Bombing moment against their aggressor. Also- Any of you IT folks, be aware datacenters have precedent as major strategic military targets, if it wasn't obvious before.
Russian bot farms are down? Let’s test that theory. Vaccines work. Chemtrails do not exist. mRNA is in everything you eat. Everything is made of chemicals. Natural is not a synonym for safe. It’s the dose that makes the poison. Let’s see who gets upset…

Quebec is a beautiful place. Glad I have the chance to spend a week here (rural Pierreville, Trois-Rivieres, Quebec city, and Montreal later this week before going home)

Experience with Jev so far- Not going to replace my (bedrock/Amazon) Nova Lite sorter/categorizer for my financial books app, the Jev version really was off the mark with accuracy. Nova Lite fills in large batches accurately.

Younger Gen X/Elder Millennials remain undefeated on being the right age when new technologies are implemented. The internet, phones, and now AI all hitting when we were old enough to not have our brains rotted by them, but young enough to skillfully adopt.
AI is a big W for 40-somethings. Old enough to have learned how to do things the right way, young enough to learn some new tricks.

junior developers shouldn't be allowed to use AI coding tools for the first 1-3 years of their work. just as an electrician's apprentice does the menial jobs and learns from their mentor, developers should do the same developing "code smell" and intuition is so important

I never really understood the allure of Claude Coding in the Claude Desktop app until `claude rc`. Having the entire Plan in its own pane (on my 42" 4K TV of a monitor) while coding against my WSL Linux environment is badass. @trq212 @ClaudeDevs

Playing with @typesafeai Jev tonight; with their Claude Code skill, I was able to write a simple program to take a block of text lyrics, and ask it: Sexually_Charged or Non_Sexual.
Replying to @CompleteSkeptic
thank you for the fast turnaround on the waitlist! This is gonna be a fun hack session tonight...

Pricing: $0.042 (4.2 cents) per million input tokens, output tokens not billed (obviously cheap since it's only a couple or a few output probabilities)
