Shyama Prasad Mukherjee actively demanded the partition of Bengal in 1947 so that West Bengal could remain a Hindu-majority state.
Savarkar explicitly articulated the concept that Hindus and Muslims were two separate nations in his 1923 book Hindutva, years before Jinnah adopted it as a political demand.
Congress refused to form coalition governments with the Muslim League after 1937 elections which may have accelerated his demand for a separate state, which might have been a tactical error. But you can't overlook that Nehru and Gandhi fought for decades for a united, secular India.

Everytime I see her videos I have the widest grin on my face. She simply couldn't have seen all the films she talks about without piracy. It helped her discover David Lynch's movies and so eloquently encourage others to do the same. Piracy is that transformational. Its beautiful.

On this 14 August I hope I live to see the day when people from all over the subcontinent can cross these borders without an issue. When we can drive to Amritsar for breakfast and be back by evening.
