π¨ Nobody published this: after the X100 ($4.85M) and zkLink Nova ($786K) hacks, a SECOND wave of 1,201.2 ETH silently entered Tornado Cash on Oct 27 β missing from every public report.
We traced the full cluster on-chain:
β’ 4 holding wallets, never published before
β’ A pre-exploit link dated Oct 1
β’ 702,154.54 DAI still untouched today
β’ 27.76 ETH out via 6 FixedFloat deposits

𧡠Following up on our zkLink Nova forensic analysis.
Public reports from Blockaid, SlowMist, and security firms confirm coordination between the X100 and zkLink exploits. Our on-chain tracing revealed additional patterns.
Here's what's VERIFIED vs OBSERVED
π¨ zkLink Nova Exploit: $786K Stolen via Forged Batch Root
On Oct 28, 2026 at 22:21 UTC, an attacker exploited zkLink Nova's Ethereum bridge, draining ~$786K in ETH and ERC-20 tokens through a sophisticated batch root manipulation attack.
Our forensic tracing reveals the complete fund flow, including $546K still sitting on-chain.
@zkLink_Official
π PRIORITY NOTE
The X100 β zkLink actor connection was first published by us on Oct 29, 06:48 UTC.
Prior public reporting (Blockaid, The Defiant, CryptoTimes, SlowMist) covered the two
exploits separately but did not link them to the same threat actor.
The Etherscan label "X100 Exploiter 2" on wallet 0xDAB137F390dF77caA97fd492540E973fd5e2F8c8
was public since Oct 24. Blockaid identified it as a second attacker address in the zkLink
exploit on Oct 28. We were the first to explicitly connect them.

π SUMMARY
β
VERIFIED (Public Sources):
β’ X100 Exploiter 2 active in both exploits
β’ Shared FixedFloat funding
β’ Coordinated campaign confirmed by security firms
π OBSERVED (Our Exclusive Tracing):
β’ Curve swap explains missing $285K
β’ Three separate funding routes
β’ Linea message 17 min after zkLink exploit
β’ Sequential timeline suggests coordination
π° RECOVERY STATUS:
β’ $546K in DAI still on-chain (W1 + W2)
β’ Recovery window still open
β’ @zkLink_Official should coordinate with Circle/Sky/Maker for freeze requests

Sequential exploits with shared infrastructure. The pattern is clear.
π OBSERVED (Our Exclusive Tracing)
AW3 (0xDAB137F3...) sent 0.0021 ETH to Linea at 22:38 UTC on Oct 28 β just 17 MINUTES after the zkLink exploit.
Tx: etherscan.io/tx/0x684dc81ca8β¦
This could be a cross-chain exit route or settlement message.
β οΈ This is our on-chain observation. Public reports mention Linea only as zkLink's normal settlement layer, not as an attacker exit path.
π OBSERVED (Our Exclusive Tracing)
Three distinct funding routes identified:
1οΈβ£ X100 Exploiter 1 (0x4fDB9F9A...) β Tornado Cash (400 ETH, Oct 27)
2οΈβ£ AW3 (X100 Exploiter 2) β Across Protocol (40 days ago)
3οΈβ£ AW1 (zkLink Attacker) β FixedFloat Hot Wallet 2 (Oct 29)
Different anonymization services, SAME attack pattern: batch root manipulation + cross-chain message forwarding.
β οΈ Across Protocol funding is our observation, not yet publicly confirmed.
