My response to Secretary Kennedy's statements about me on Fox News today. It's time to set the record straight.

Did you know that you don't have to come to a clinic to do dialysis? It can be done from the comfort of your own home!
Here is the 2nd in a two-part article describing what life is like for someone doing dialysis at home.

One addendum to this thread: if I’m reading the interim final rule correctly, as of this rule CMS is creating a new modifier, modifier -95, for use on telehealth claims submitted during the PHE. @RPANephrology 7/really the end
Dr. Leslie Spry retweeted
Folks, CMS just came out with more telehealth and other revisions and accompanying guidance for clinicians. CPT codes 99441-99443 for telephone E&M services now covered, still interpreting what is set forth for the ESRD MCP. More to come. cms.gov/files/document/covid…

Folks, at the risk of being THAT GUY who retweets himself (totally lame), other than the single code anomaly that probably will be resolved soon, all MCP code visits can be done by telehealth. How about a retweet @DrBobPro, @kidney_boy, others to get this word out. Thanks.
The @RPANephrology take is that none of the interactions have to be face-to-face for the duration of the public health emergency. A policy quirk resulted in the single visit MCP codes not being on the approved telehealth list (we’re trying to fix that) but the rest are there.

It’s important for #dialysis patients to continue treatments and take extra precautions when visiting the facilities to protect their health during the #COVID19 outbreak. kidney.org/news/national-kid…
