Trying to load a Unicode file delimited w/ broken vertical bar ¦ and it fails with most methods.
#SqlServer Import Flat File wizard works like a charm but Import Data adds funky characters on import.
#AzureDataFactory previews data fine but skips file. Regular pipe | no problems.
Lol. Why do people think they subject listeners to endless fund drives if they got money from the government?

I traveled to Costa Rica and found they do not distill sugar cane into rum but into a clear liquor called guaro. Cacique is the most popular brand, Makes an excellent drink with ginger liqueur and fresh pineapple juice!

A great visualization of one woman's experience with maternity leave. My employer granted six weeks when I had a baby. Saving PTO for a year prior and taking unpaid time allowed me to use the 12 week FMLA period without losing my job. community.storytellingwithda… #SWDCommunity
I didn't know that Crotons flower but mine has lately produced the most alien and wonderful bloom. #houseplants

Any other #WhereScape users out there? In RED, what's the difference b/n "rebuild" and "regenerate" for the update script on a stage table? If I don't want to change the template being used, do I stick with regenerate? #ETL
Tropical storm on the way to NC but my cat has found the beanbag next to my desk so she is unbothered. #HurricaneIan
In other #SQL news, did you know that the UNION operator sorts to get distinct results? If you don't need, or want, this, you can improve performance by using UNION ALL.
Tuning #SQL queries and DISTINCT is surely the most overused operator. Fix the joins to not bring back duplicates and save the performance cost of sorting to get unique records.
I recently visited Greenfield Village at @thehenryford which has the most amazing collection of early American tools and inventions. Included are lots of farming machines like threshers, etc. If I were going to get a tattoo, this would be a strong candidate.
I've missed you, Sap Moss. Now my curls can smell like a forest floor again. #aveda
