Everyone is lonely, because it is in "my" nature to feel separate. We try to forget it with drugs, hobbies, etc. Love creates the delusion of bridging this separation, and it is very addictive. What everyone wants, wether they realize it is not, is for this separation to end, and be ever more close to the world at large (which only the PCE can provide).
Sensate enjoyment is perennial. It is an inherent characteristic of the flesh and blood body 'you' have been inhabiting. Affective enjoyment (based on tender/sweet feelings) is not. And it defines 'you'. Ergo, allow that sensuosity as much as possible, so as to stop being a retarded loser following socially sanctioned psittacisms, affectations and affections. --- Richard: "I am the universe experiencing itself in all its splendour and magnificence as a sensate reflective human being. It is abundant, bountiful, luscious ... I luxuriate in being here now, so fantastic is it to be alive as me as I actually am."

I'm not a 'tech bro'. I'm a hacker (geek). 'Tech bro' was invented by feminine men (SNAGs) and resentful women. Gender's got nothing to do with this, even though it is true that almost all computer nerds are men, and there's nothing wrong with that. medium.com/@maradydd/when-ne…

A very clear eyed picture of what’s coming. You will need a software factory for defense, not just internal productivity.
Just spent the last 7 days on the front lines of the vulnpocalypse fending off an active cyber attack on one of our products. Some thoughts: - Software factories are going to be required equipment for everyone. There’s just no way to keep up with the pace of highly automated adversaries without one. - We were lucky because we had spent the last few months getting our software factory running well. It is nice to have for product development but proved to be absolutely essential this week. - At the minimum you need to have a coding server in the cloud pre-provisioned with read only access to all your logs and all the services you depend on for observability. With that in place you are a prompt away from reasonably good situational awareness, ongoing monitoring with loops, and ability for coding agents to validate fixes against your actual, observed attack patterns. - Shared coding server also unlocks multiplayer incident response where everyone can see every session and jump in as needed. Sharing session links that can be forked is much higher bandwidth than re-explaining things. - You don’t need to be Ramp/Stripe/Uber scale to have a working software factory in the cloud. We are a team of 3. Ours is built with an @opencode server (thanks @thdxr!), a forked version of compound engineering optimized for automated workflows (thanks @kieranklaassen!) and a multiplayer agent in slack that handles crons (we have our own harness but pick your favorite here). - To get our software factory up and running well, we had to stop all new product development for ~6 weeks and just focus on getting the validation systems working that enabled us to reliably shipping PR without human code review. This felt very painful in the moment but was totally worth the eventual speedup in velocity. - KYC for @AnthropicAI & @OpenAI cyber programs is now easy and quick (at least for defensive access), but a day felt like a lifetime this week. Submit your app now before you really need it. - Getting Mythos access unlocked a deeper level of analysis that helped us shift from reactive mitigation to proactive patching. Wish we had done this a few weeks earlier. Get started now!

'Touch grass' people are FOMO idiots. 'Going outside' is overrated (bulk of normie culture out there is uninteresting). Home is great.

You see the excuse of "nepotism" used against Indians all the time but never evidence of it. The little evidence we have is that Indians are less likely to hire co-ethnics than Mexicans, Poles, or Chinese. Why don't you see this attack against those groups?
Is "Indian nepotism" real? Maybe. Immigrant-founded firms tend to employ a lot of coethnics—especially for groups that don't really know English. Chinese founders fill 45% of first hires with Chinese, Mexicans 31%, and Poles 27%. Indians are at 21%, below the immigrant average.

"Start Doing Graph Theory" is a free, 478-page textbook (October 2026) that provides a comprehensive introduction to graph theory, combining mathematical rigor with a problem-solving approach. The book covers graph isomorphisms, paths and cycles, trees, directed graphs, Eulerian and Hamiltonian cycles, matchings, graph coloring, planar graphs, network flows, and much more. It is a valuable resource for university students and anyone interested in developing a deeper understanding of graph theory and its applications. The book also includes numerous exercises that help readers put theoretical concepts into practice. Definitely worth adding to your mathematics library. vertex.degree/pdf/book.pdf

You can get really good at "neither repressing nor expressing" feelings and passions. When successfully practiced on libido, that energy which otherwise gets wasted on various feelings, attitudes and behaviours, magically transforms, in its place, into a zest for life.

The master himself: "If one deactivates the ‘good’ and ‘bad’ feelings and activates the felicitous/ innocuous feelings (happiness, delight, joie de vivre/ bonhomie, friendliness, amiability and so on) with this freed-up affective energy, in conjunction with sensuousness (delectation, enjoyment, appreciation, relish, zest, gusto and so on), then the ensuing sense of amazement, marvel and wonder can result in apperceptiveness (unmediated perception)." actualfreedom.com.au/richard…

Why do South Asians get type 2 diabetes at much lower body weights? The answer is in their fat cells. These are fat cells from two young men with the same BMI. The South Asian man's are on the left. The white man's are on the right. At the same BMI as white Europeans, South Asians carry more body fat, bigger fat cells, more liver fat, and higher insulin. Here is what the studies show. 1. Same BMI, much bigger fat cells. In 29 South Asian and 18 white men, average age 27, BMI was 24 vs 23. Body fat was 22% vs 15%. The average belly fat cell was 3,491 vs 1,648 µm² in cross section. Treating the cells as spheres, that is about 3 times the volume of fat per cell on average. The samples in the image show an even larger difference. The larger the fat cells, the worse the insulin resistance. Visceral fat was the same in both groups. 2. Matched for age and BMI, still more insulin. Asian Indians matched to white adults had similar fasting glucose but higher fasting insulin, and they cleared glucose about 40% less well on a clamp test (4.7 vs 7.5 mg/kg/min). 3. Fat cell size explains much of the insulin gap. After adjusting for age, sex and BMI, South Asians had larger fat cells, liver fat of 9.9% vs 2.5%, and higher fasting insulin. Adjusting for fat cell size cut the insulin difference in half. 4. Lean and young. Among 482 lean young adults, insulin resistance was 2 to 3 times more common in Asian Indians than in any other group. The men had about twice the liver fat of white men. 5. It starts in childhood. South Asian children aged 8 to 11 in Britain were not heavier than white children, but their fasting insulin was 53% higher, with similar blood glucose. My view: fat cells can only store so much. When they are full, they become insulin resistant and release more fat into the blood, and that fat ends up in the liver and muscle. Insulin rises to compensate. South Asians appear to reach that limit at a lower body weight. For a South Asian person, a normal BMI does not mean normal metabolism. Fasting insulin, waist size and liver fat say more than weight.

update: > shot my shot multiple times > got rejected and ghosted > one time I threw a Hail Mary and it flopped > felt that awful cringe in my chest > then I remembered that was the whole point > eventually, one of the shots panned out overall, great nervous system conditioning
I’ve never been in a long-term relationship before. My goal in the next 30 days is to intentionally be rejected by women. Wish me luck.

I had this insight that it is actually quite simpler to keep feeling good no matter what. Cuz it is an internal affective state that a) feels good and b) can be maintained over a long time. To get to that point, however, you gotta get fully tired of all the alternate feelings.

One belief I recently dropped: 'feeling good' is not preferable to certain exciting feelings. But that's not true anymore. Feeling good is vastly better by the inherent quality. What's better than feeling good: feeling excellent to perfect, which happens via appreciation.
