This takes me back to the old 2014-2018 Cities and Cups ran in an Arby's in Ohio...

Today I went to a League Cup. The store was in a recently closed Victoria's Secret, they had no tables, we played in the mall food court, I lost in Top 8 to Steven's Metagross, and finals is being played in a Chipotle.

Yesterdays hike was sweet... Until I had to leave halfway through to go cover a shift because my employers refuse to give other people keys... I told every customer, "Sorry, I smell like shit"

It's been a whole year here now and I'm really regretting this, as they've fallen short on everything promised. It's probably time I take shit into my own hands

Yeah, after having game on board in 2 different instances against Pult if they whiff Hammer (in the same game) and then getting paired into the only senior and then starting Meowth and draw pass, for two turns... Starting to see the argument that BO1 Cups/Challenges suck ass.

Even trying to play cool decks with good matchups, with decent practice, just to lose to coin flips and bad RNG, I'm still just struggling to have fun playing Pokemon anymore. I really think it's time to focus on other games more seriously, at least ones that are fun win or lose

And yes, winning isn't everything and isn't subjective to having fun, but when the environment of getting products, the lack of friends truly involved and price/time off/etc equation just doesn't feel great, it's hard to want to keep playing
