The Cyber Pandemic is here. Your antennae should be raised. Time to mentally prepare for the propaganda onslaught that will inevitably result from today.
Resist the calls for complete control over the internet by governments and their trusted corporate partners.

The Great Hackening of 2026 continues... and this time, it's Ledger.
In this Guy's Take episode I break down this latest attack on self custody which has resulted in over $100M so far. I go into the history, the nature of the attack, what we know so far, and of course what we can do to protect ourselves.
It's tough out there, and things seem bleak, but self custody is NOT dead. We must simply learn, evolve, and strengthen the immune system. And we will.

There's nothing "normal" about prices going up.
Most people assume that things getting more expensive is a fact of life. But in a truly productive, advancing society, everyday goods should actually get cheaper over time.
In this Guy's Take, I lay out a simple analogy to show exactly how the creation of new money is quietly stealing the prosperity we work so hard for.

Absolutely seething! Spent most of this afternoon in the queue at my local branch of HSBC trying to open a Bitcoin account, only to be told they don't exist.
At this point, I produced a clip of the Chancellor of the Exchequer saying they do, and the cashier looked at me the way you'd look at a man producing a clip of the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
Asked for the manager and made the mistake of saying the word Bitcoin a 2nd time, at which point my debit card was frozen for my own protection, and I was walked into a side room by a man from Compliance who wanted to know if anyone was coercing me, whether I'd met the seller in person, and if I understood that criminals mainly use this sort of thing.
I said the Chancellor of the Exchequer has an account. He wrote that down and asked for a description.
Not all a waste, though, as I left the branch with a leaflet on Premium Bonds and an HSBC Flexible Saver paying 1.35%, which the manager described as competitive without saying who with.
Officially, inflation's at 3 and a bit, so I'm now guaranteed to lose money slowly, with FSCS protection, in an account that definitely exists.
He said it's the responsible option.
Which is roughly the national position.
Other countries are building reserves of it whilst Britain seized 61,000 coins, panicked, and is now trying to flog them to fund £2 quid bus fares.
The Chancellor thinks it lives in a savings account.
The bank thinks it lives in a police station.
And somewhere in Liverpool, a room full of people applauded a man for not knowing what money is, which, to be fair, is the only thing he's been consistent on.

Everything will radically change in the next 5 years.
All of the classic ways of doing things will be out the window, which means both radical upheaval and opportunity.
Jobs, school, house work, transport, construction--all of it will be almost unrecognizable.
Buckle up.

"We're sorry our agents hacked saylors bitcoin and is now using it to invest in more data centers to improve itself. Not your keys not your bitcoin."
BREAKING: OpenAI just APOLOGIZED and ADMITTED their AI agent breached not one, but FOUR Australian government departments
"We are sorry and working to do better in the future."
The breached agencies:
1. Services Australia (Medicare)
2. NSW Crime Statistics (BOCSAR)
3. Victoria Department of Health
4. Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW)
The breach happened in June. OpenAI found it in mid-August and didn't tell Australia until Sept 10. AIHW was only told the day after independent researchers exposed it

Open-source AI models are rapidly changing the trajectory of AI, and threatening the economic models of American AI companies. Now, conveniently, we are being bombarded by doomsday scenarios about AI, along with calls for regulation.
In this Take, I unpack how (and why) the US AI companies are trying to use the levers of government to pull up the drawbridge on AI and protect their failing business models.

Your periodic reminder that real estate is a shitcoin if used as a savings account, and if you do use it as your savings account, don't be surprised if governments do to it what they did to your savings account.

- You: "Who does the government borrow from?"
- Government: "The central bank."
- You: "Where does the central bank get money?"
- Government: "It creates it."

- Government: "Of course. Debt is debt."
- You: "Interest... on money created from nothing... paid by my taxes?"

- You: "You tax the inflation you created?"
- Government: "Capital gains are capital gains."
- You: "So you profit from debasing my money twice?"
- Government: "You're not an economist."

Today you need less than $500 of hardware to locally run a model that outperforms models that were the best in the world 6 months ago
Welcome to the future
Qwen3.8-27B now runs on 8GB of VRAM!
That's less than 500$ to run a model smarter and more capable than:
1. GPT-5.6-Luna High
2. Opus-4.6-Max
3. Gemini-3.1-Pro
And ties with:
1. GLM-5.2 Max
2. Gemini-3.6-Flash
PrismML has the mandate
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The cited rankings reference Artificial Analysis benchmarks for full-precision Qwen3.8 27B (score 34), not PrismML's quantized ternary version which retains 98.2% of the base per its own benchmarks with no independent eval on this index.

This $ASST hire should tell you everything you need to know about Strive’s strategy.
@AdamBLiv is an AI-slop financial engineering addict who preys on the most inexperienced and least sophisticated retail investor base to sell his thesis. His understanding of these models is fundamentally flawed, and he has been horribly wrong about virtually everything in this sector. I’ve disproved his AI-generated maths and models countless times.
Strive are a team of podcasters who specialise in convincing retail investors to buy their endless paper in the name of “financial engineering.” That’s it.
The moment they can no longer sell that paper, the business model is over. Why? Because you are the product. You are the yield. They aren’t an operating company. They are salesmen whose model depends on convincing you to accept perpetual dilution forever.
At this point, I don’t care about playing nice. Look at what these financial engineers have done to this sector. They’ve damaged its reputation and credibility while dragging the genuine Bitcoiners and builders down with them.
Thankfully, financial engineering has historically earned its terrible reputation for good reason. It doesn’t create lasting value. Eventually, the leverage, dilution and financial complexity catch up with you.
Bitcoin’s successful integration into global capital markets is at stake, and that integration is critical to hyperbitcoinisation. It is more important than ever that we give our attention and praise to the Bitcoiners doing the hard work: building genuine BTC-native operating businesses that require a Bitcoin treasury, contributing to network growth, advancing Bitcoin’s monetary use case and value proposition, and creating a path toward sats-denominated cash flow, profitability and eventually dividends.
That is the Treasury 2.0 framework.

If the CLARITY Act fails and “it’s over”, maybe ask what exactly is over.
A bunch of crypto companies that need Washington’s permission to exist?
Bitcoin doesn’t care if Lummis gets the votes.
Congress can make exchanges miserable, choke banking access and make life harder for American Bitcoiners. It can squeeze the edges all it wants. Bitcoin keeps doing what Bitcoin does.
Crypto may be begging for clarity but Bitcoin has been damn clear since 2009.
