I keep wanting the pain to be some kind of bottom signal but it's not working
Really tough spot to be involved in crypto here
I've lost the will to do much of anything for the time being
Privacy on a public blockchain sounds like a contradiction.
Blockchains are designed to make data transparent. So how do you build something that works on-chain without exposing everything?
@FungoLabs is using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) from Zama to explore exactly that.
With FHE, smart contracts can process encrypted information without first decrypting it.
For $Fungo, this makes two things possible:
*Private NFT creation:* The contract generates NFT content using on-chain randomness and stores it encrypted.
*Private ownership experience:* The NFT's artwork and hidden attributes remain sealed, with access tied to its current holder.
For the Genesis collection:
• 500 free whitelist and nominee mints
• 2,500 encrypted auction mints in cZAMA
• 232 team allocations
• One clearing price for all auction winners
The artwork can be privately viewed and optionally published forever.
The essence, containing class, stats and element, remains encrypted.
No one needs to see the underlying data for the system to work.
That's what makes this approach interesting to me.
Fungo isn't just putting NFTs on Ethereum. It's exploring what NFTs could look like when privacy is part of their design from day one.
Good Morning fam,
Imagine joining an NFT auction where nobody knows what anyone else is bidding.
No watching other bids. No last-minute copying. No adjusting your offer because someone else placed a higher one.
That's the idea behind $Fungo's sealed-bid auction.
The 2,500 Genesis NFTs will be sold in an encrypted auction using cZAMA.
You decide your price and quantity, but both remain hidden until the auction closes.
Here's how the pricing works:
• Bids are revealed and ranked after the auction.
• The lowest winning bid determines the final price.
• Every successful bidder pays that same price.
• Higher bidders get the excess refunded.
• Bids below the clearing price receive their full bid amount back.
This creates a uniform clearing price instead of having different winning prices.
And there's another interesting part.
@FungoLabs uses the same FHE technology to keep the NFTs sealed after minting.
So privacy isn't just part of the auction. It's part of the NFT itself.

A private auction for NFTs that stay private by design.
The @FungoLabs Genesis mint is coming in two stages on November 5, 2026.
Here's how it works.
Stage 1: Free Mint
500 NFTs will be available to approved whitelist wallets and nominees.
There is no mint price. Approved wallets only pay gas.
Any unused free-mint allocation will remain unminted.
Stage 2: Sealed-Bid Auction
The remaining 2,500 NFTs will be sold through an encrypted auction using cZAMA.
But here's where things get interesting.
You choose your bid and how many NFTs you want. Your bid amount and quantity stay encrypted while the auction is open.
Nobody can see what others are bidding.
Once the auction closes, bids are revealed and ranked. The lowest successful bid sets the clearing price, meaning every winner pays the same price.
Higher bidders receive the difference back, while unsuccessful bidders get their bid amount refunded.
And of course, every NFT is minted sealed.
It's a different approach to NFT distribution, with privacy built into the process from the beginning.
What if you could own an NFT without the entire world knowing what it looks like or what's inside it?
That's what makes $Fungo interesting.
Built with Zama's FHEVM on Ethereum, @FungoLabs uses Fully Homomorphic Encryption to keep NFT data private while allowing smart contracts to work with it.
Each NFT has two layers:
1. The Look
This is the artwork. It's sealed when minted, and the holder can view it privately in their browser.
You can also choose to make it public permanently. Once published, it cannot be hidden again.
2. The Essence
This contains the NFT's class, stats and element.
Unlike the artwork, this layer stays encrypted permanently. Only the current holder can access it.
Even the team cannot see what you received.
The NFT is generated using on-chain FHE randomness, so neither the buyer nor the team gets to choose the outcome.
And when ownership changes, access moves to the new holder.
Your NFT. Your private world.

Good Morning
Most NFTs reveal everything about themselves the moment they're minted.
Their art, traits, rarity and other details are all public. Anyone can see them, track them or rank them.
▪︎ @FungoLabs wants to change that.
They're building encrypted NFTs on Ethereum, where the content stays hidden even after minting.
Powered by Zama's Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE), $Fungo allows smart contracts to generate and work with NFT data without ever seeing what's inside.
No metadata server. No team secretly knowing what you received.
The Genesis collection will have 3,232 NFTs:
• 500 free mints for whitelist holders and nominees
• 2,500 through an encrypted sealed-bid auction
• 232 allocated to the team
The idea is simple: your NFT can live on a public blockchain without making everything inside it public.
Not everything needs to be visible to be on-chain.
