i wish i had a sister who could share some of these responsibilities with me. my feet, shoulders, everything hurts because i tried to do it all in one day.
laundry wasn't a big deal bc the machine did everything but all the other chores, graveyard and hospital visits on the same day?? what was i thinking.
i watched my mom die before my eyes, but my brain shut my emotions off to protect me. on the third day, when the female scholar forgot part of the prayer, i continued praying and i wailed while begging Allah for my mom’s maghfirah. ya Allah have mercy on her.
my aunt is critically ill with severe edema, diabetes and progressive organ failure. she’s been hospitalized for a long time. pls keep her in your prayers
my aunt is critically ill and hospitalized in the same hospital where mom took her last breath, but i just can't bring myself to go back there, even to ask about her well-being.
i came back to visit mom's grave, never expecting an emergency to bring me so close to the hospital where she died. i can't make myself return to the place where i lost her.
i drove here to visit mom, came back home got all the chores done and now i'm just sitting in front of the mirror wondering how one person can be such a pretty disaster
it’s laundry day, so every bedsheet, curtain, mattress cover, sofa cover, and comforter is getting washed. nobody in this house is safe, not even the furniture
there were so many newly made graves of little kids and martyrs that i kept losing track of which row my mom was buried in
there were so many graves with names similar to my mom's and some even had the same date of death. every time i thought i had found hers, it turned out to be someone else's.
the most heartbreaking part was that i couldn't remember where my own mom's grave was. i searched through the graveyard looking at so many graves including those of little children before finally finding hers. it honestly broke me
