Big 5 men’s basketball schools to move forward with round-robin format without Villanova in 2027-28

It's possible that a one-day Big 5 Classic tripleheader lives on. But with the current format nearing the end of its contract, Villanova was not interested in keeping with the status quo.

NATHAN FIELDER: So you see he's ordering 55 burgers and 55 fries and 55 tacos and 55 pies and 55 Cokes and so on. ELIZABETH HOLMES: Yes. NATHAN FIELDER: So why is that funny? ELIZABETH HOLMES: Because he's...doing...something? BILLY EVANS: That's enough for now. Cut the camera.

Here is (part) of Central Michigan head coach Matt Drinkall's quote in opposition to the proposed 24-team College Football Playoff:
By the Belt: A MAC Sports Blog@bythebeltOct 20
Just got off the weekly press conference with Central Michigan head coach Matt Drinkall. We asked him about the proposed 24-team Playoff, and now we have about 10 minutes of quotes to transcribe. Hope to be able to share that soon.
