I am thrilled to announce my latest publication! The paper delves into the distinct kinetic properties of two enzymes - P450 11B1 and P450 11B2. Although similar, these enzymes play different physiological roles and are central to endocrine disorders. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs…

I am a stickler about folks texting or calling me and not beginning the conversation with a greeting. A quick ā€œheyā€ or ā€œhelloā€ will do before jumping into dialogue, especially if you’re asking me to do something. 🫔

Your experience is your experience & your experience is valid. No one should ever try to take that from you. Also… your experience is not always representative of larger phenomena. Someone discussing your experience in the framework of a larger phenomenon is not invalidation.

People really love mistaking kindness for weakness. I often do things for others even when I’m tired or overbooked, but it’s my choice. No one knows my limits except me. I am not you and I do not do anything I really don’t want to do. Period.

Today, I completed my internship in Field Medical Affairs/Medical Affairs Strategy at Takeda, and honestly, it was my best summer in grad school. I did all that while balancing lab work. (1/3)

What I appreciated the most was the fact that people saw me for who I am, valued my contribution, and gave me the space to shine. Going forward, I realize how culture is important for me when considering future career opportunities.

A major compliment that I received from the people I worked with was the acknowledgment of my scientific acumen and being able to disseminate complex information in a simple way to my audience. It was beautiful to see my training @UMPharmacology reflected through my work there.

I’ve had the pleasure of chairing the Pharmacology in Color symposium with @MPuthenveedu at the @ASPET conference this year. I’m grateful that I’ve been able to be in the planning team @UMPharmacology and branch it out to @ASPET .
