"do it for yourself/the love of the game" has come to mean "expect no engagement and let the community abuse you for perceived transgressions but keep giving us free stuff"

„fan writers/artists should do it for the love of the game“ we do. but i think a lot of us are gonna get more selective with whom we share that love with.

I think we should acknowledge the double standards of how fandom treats artists and writers, because if this was a drive full of fanart the conversation would be different

The LADs LIs would not care about your race, body type, gender, sexuality etc. And, I’m sorry if this is harsh, some of you are either so insecure or bigoted that you refuse to grasp this. They are designed to love you (MC) no matter what.

No, I don't want ppl consume my fics, I want to them to READ them and ENGAGE with me through interactions; as a person not as a writer I'm not asking money or fame/recognition, I'm just asking to be treat as a person that is part of a fandom who do art with love, and be mutual

Arguably the biggest and most saddening part of this fanfic repost discourse is that the issue is less about the reposting and more about the fact that people will do everything in their power to remove authors from the equation while still wanting their work.
