Yesterday SFI Window 2 opened at 10am. £233 million for the whole of England. By 3:48pm it was gone. Six hours. Farmers compared it to Oasis tickets. That doesn’t work for farms and it doesn’t work for people. Farms won’t invest on a lottery. You don’t put cattle in or put a shed up if the next chance is “maybe 2027.” And the public don’t get the land, the food or the security they were sold. You can’t deliver that if thousands of farms miss out because a website shut at tea time. So we stop waiting for a portal. We fund each other. People buy from farms. Farms sell what they grow.
