Absolutely panicking about the cup of tea I made. Did I do it right? He asked for milk and 1 sugar. I did a properly strong Yorkshire teabag with a splash of milk and a teaspoon of sugar. That's the correct way, right? Since when did I start making tea for builders in my home!?
"Mum? Why have you just let a strange man that smells of your dad (tobacco) into our house? He's a man that is going to fix the broken boiler? Is that why we have been SO FUCKING cold for the last few days? Oh ok. Can I bite him anyway? Just playfully, obviously.. No? You cow."

4 years ago I was drinking a litre of vodka a day. I was topping up my drinks at 4am, 7am, before getting in the taxi for work. If I was working from home I'd be drinking all throughout the day, on mute in Teams calls. Now look at me. Everything is so different.

DAY 25 - THE STRANGERS (2008) Haven't seen any of the latest films, but I consider this very first entry to be one of the greatest home invasion films ever. I love a home invasion horror. This film is just so cruel and amazingly suspenseful. Brilliant villains, too. Love this.
It's almost spooky season so I've quickly made up a list of 31 films to watch over the month of October. I do these lists every year and never finish the challenge 😂 so writing all that may have been a waste of time. But I'll try! 🎃 Included lots of classics! #31daysofhorror

When life feels difficult one of the things that makes me think it is all worth it is when I see my dog just gazing at me, with that look of unconditional love in his eyes. He's just been staring at me for ages while he's been laying on me. So glad we rescued him! 🖤

I've spent the last 45 minutes on Wikipedia scrolling through a list of people's last words. There are some belters on here. "I feel fine" and "Fuck you, motherfucker" are good ones. I hope my last words are typically sarcastic and self-deprecating in true Kelly fashion.

Being awake in the mornings without absolutely pounding headaches from hangovers is so nice. This time 4 yrs ago I'd be waking up feeling so rough, then starting my day with my morning vodka & repeating that 20 mins later, then repeating etc. Awful way to live. None of that now!

Tea, slippers, blanket, re-reading a good book and listening to the wind outside. Perfect Sunday morning.

Haunted by flashbacks of Ronnie dying. It's 3am ffs. I want to sleep. Keep seeing him laying there dying. Me picking him up not knowing what to do & 2 mins later him taking his last breath in my arms. Bloody Ronnie. Why'd he have to leave me. And why haunt me at 3am?! 😒

Absolute MASTERPIECE. Banger of a film. So damn quotable, too. Christian Bale IS Patrick Bateman. I love this movie and that is probably one of my many, many red flags.
Now watching. Haven't watched this in ages. I read the book once. All I remember is anything with the title chapter "Girls" meant some really fucking unpleasant shit was happening. If they showed everything from the book in the film it would be way too violent, I guess 💀

I'm about to lose my mind at 1:30am. I'm watching American Psycho and quoting the fuck out of it, and I'm also building a dinosaur. I lost my shit building some tiny flowers. I never learn.

I think at some point in the film Patrick is flipping through a sketchbook of his. It shows drawings of what he does in the book. Errr. Yeaaaah.

DAY 24 - THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL (2009) Ti West absolutely nails the 70s/80s aesthetic here. It looks SO good. Yay for babysitters in horror movies and Satanic Panic! There is something in this that came out of absolutely nowhere and shocked me 😂 I like this film.

Mark is hosting the country club pub quiz tonight. I went over to a table of people and asked if I can join them because I have no friends 😂 I've been contributing quite a lot. Smashed the Halloween round (well, of course 😎) Check me out being sociable. I'm a changed woman.

DAY 23 - MAY (2002) Another I haven't seen in a long time. Angela Bettis is so good at being creepy. May is a weird girl who can't make friends.. so she MAKES one 😬🧟‍♀️ I'm so shocked I'm 23 days in and I'm still doing this challenge. I never last this long with film challenges 😂
