Behind every "unglamorous grind" story is someone who believed in you before the results showed up.
My wife didn't understand Web3. She understood me. That was enough to get me through the early days at Web3, which ultimately led me to Surgence.
Team Spotlight: @strekknft, Head of Operations at Surgence.
He started with an architecture degree and a habit of chasing new gigs like fashion and wedding photography, anything that let him build something.
When COVID pushed him into a 9 to 5 that drained him, he quit to freelance, and stumbled into Web3 not long after.
The early days were unglamorous. Grinding through the night minting NFTs, losing to bots, learning the space the hard way. A friend brought him into what was then Alpha Club, now Surgence, and he leaned into the one thing that always came naturally: helping.
He started as a volunteer, then a moderator, then Community Manager. Then Ruthy handed him the reins to run ops.
Today, Strekk is the person who keeps Surgence running smoothly. He manages the internal operations, keeps the team organised and moving, and is the first person anyone turns to when they need something handled. If it's anything related to Surgence, it usually runs through him.
He is also the person everyone actually wants to go to. The go-to guy for all things Surgence and beyond, the one who quietly makes sure everyone else has what they need to do their best work.

Year of 2024 with Surgence was crazy and had some very unexpected turns.
If I would say that I owe everything to @surgence_io whatever and wherever I’m after Allah almighty, I’ll not be wrong at all. Alhamdulillah for everything! ♥️
This is something I have shared before, too, but let's give it a little recap. When I joined the space, knowing little of nothing at all, Surgence became my torch of guidance throughout this journey.
Every single person at Surgence, no matter If it's the founders, the people I hanged out with or the ones I am working with right now, they all played a part in what I am today.
The day I joined Surgence, I still remember that I was pretty new to the space but full of passion to learn what WEB3 is. @ruthybuilds, @esteemedbuilds, & @miaastreams became my absolute guides throughout this journey and gave me those right opportunities & guidance, which shaped me into what I am today. I think that is what great leaders do. They identify your hidden capabilities and put you in situations that make you what you’re meant to become.
This year started at a very low pace for me work wise as I had a lot going on in my life IRL. Becoming a father to a baby boy, I was really hoping from one place to another, managing stuff here & there. In between that time, the team made sure I was doing well, coping up with things throughout this phase.
During that time, I was just managing Surgence on the community level, working under the GOATED @miaastreams (I still miss those times of planning everything with the GOAT)
Fast forward to August ’24, Ruthy asked me if I would be interested in becoming the Operations Manager at Surgence Labs & that was something that changed the last few months of 2024 for me! AGAIN! As I said, a great leader identifies your skills and makes sure that you’re at the right place.
Since then, I have been working at making things smoother around, interacting with my team more, identifying problems, and making sure we’re rectifying them right away. AND A LOT MORE!
Before the year ends & me getting the feeling that I need more to do lol so I joined @esteemedbuilds and now, assisting on the BD side too. So kind of him for letting me bug him about things a lot lol Believe me, this guy is a genius! I don’t know how he comes up with the things he says, but DAMN!!!
Here, I would love to mention @McTyasha , @Karshaa_ @ZenoNFTs @Abdelrahman_NFT as the people who I closely work with everyday. Love you all loads! ♥️
