RE: EKITI POLICE ARREST 11 SUSPECTS. A MAJOR ADMISSION OF THE VIOLENT ATTACK ON US, BUT WHERE ARE THE MASTERMINDS? The Ekiti State @PoliceNG Command has now announced the arrest of 11 suspects in connection with yesterday’s brutal attack on me and members of my team in Ado-Ekiti. This is a major admission that what happened was no ordinary “altercation,” as the same police initially tried to deceive the public into believing. It was a coordinated, violent attack that could have cost us our lives. We maintain that it was an assassination attempt carried out by government-sponsored thugs. But the police are still playing games! Where are the masterminds? Where is Sola Adenijo, popularly known as Solar, whom we have identified as one of those involved in coordinating the attack from the State Governor’s Office, especially the CSO to the governor, CSP Ayodele Akinlua? We have demanded that the authorities investigate his role and those of other suspected political thugs whose faces were captured by CCTV cameras at the scene. Some of the individuals involved are associated with the so-called City Boys group. These allegations must be thoroughly investigated, including links to officials of the Ekiti State Government @ekitistategov I demand that the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, and the @OfficialDSSNG immediately preserve and release the relevant CCTV footage of the attack. Let Nigerians see the faces of those who attacked us, identify those who directed them, and establish who provided them with protection and intelligence about our movements. Arresting 11 suspects is not enough if those who planned, financed, coordinated and facilitated the attack remain untouched. The police must also explain why they initially dismissed a vicious assault that left members of our team injured as a mere “altercation.” What changed between that misleading statement and today’s announcement of 11 arrests? The Commissioner of Police and the @OfficialDSSNG must quit playing mind games with Nigerians. We demand an independent, transparent investigation that follows the evidence wherever it leads, including to politically connected individuals and government officials. We will not accept a cover-up disguised as an investigation. We will not accept the arrest of foot soldiers while the masterminds walk free. Release the CCTV footage! Arrest and prosecute everyone implicated by the evidence, including the sponsors and masterminds! You cannot attempt to eliminate political opponents and then expect the victims to remain silent. #RevolutionNow

The Commissioner of @Policeng in Ekiti State and the State Director of the @OfficialDSSNG in Ado-Ekiti must immediately return the CCTV camera taken from the proprietor of TawakalituRestaurant, which captured the violent attack on me and members of my team immediately.

My interview today with Seun Okinbaloye on @channelstv #PoliticsToday had some intense moments. At one point, I had to call Seun out for being insensitive when he asked whether I was a threat to the government.
