I travelled to Rajasthan soon after this movie, heard the original (more fabulous) song. The singers were complaining about the appropriation

The closest version of this experience in blr is at vashi’s house of jeans in commercial st
I thought this was a myth but no, it finally happened. I walked into a store and a man named Phillippe took one look at me and started bringing me endless vintage Levis that fit me PERFECTLY. I tried to give his wife my measurements and she said "oh, he doesn't need those.” I had to talk myself down from buying eight pairs
Lovely! My poetry circle, 🔖Rhyme & Rasam, is on the list for next Friday evening at @AttaGalatta . This is for all those who are scarred by school poetry. Join us to read more modern, accessible work from around the world.
And yes, sometimes there is rasam to drink!

this is what I mean by civic sense being a design issue, not an inherent human flaw. people will follow rules as long as you make it convenient for them to follow, and as a designer, you absolutely can and should make it happen
People are more likely to do something when it’s easy and convenient. This simple transparent holder for used tickets on Metro Line 1-is a great example. Passengers punch out and drop their tickets in it instead of throwing them around, keeping the station clean. Sometimes, the simplest ideas work best.

huge update: all the garbage along wind tunnel road has been cleared. the ward assistant general manager from BSWML has promised to clear the debris and the rubble next. once that is done, they will beautify the space over the weekend. i will make sure they do.
good to see the HAL person happy : )
separately, my next step is to talk to BSWML top level on how do we enforce civic sense and regular garbage collection. this cannot become a dumping yard again.
hi @madhuriadnal, thanks for recording this. i just spoke to mr. bhimesh (BWSML deputy general manager) to get this cleared up asap. BWSML said this will be done early morning tomorrow because the garbage collecting folks work until 2:30 PM.
they’ve promised to send pictures/videos after getting this done. i got in touch with him using iknowaguy.help/bangalore/fin……. let’s see what happens.

Nobody talks about the psychological damage of watching something you spent 15 years learning become a button.
Another viral substack post shows signs of AI use. I would like to stay positive about writing but...

now, i have one request to everyone who uses 12th main indiranagar 🙏🏻
please protect it.
if you see someone littering, spitting tobacco, or parking on the footpath. please politely ask them to not do it. we gotta take charge of enforcement. the civic workers and police are heavily understaffed, for now we gotta help them out.
Can techbros make an AI agent that uploads pictures of broken footpaths onto govt sites and reopens the issues endlessly until they fix it
AI/ Chatgpt has taken over my bio and profile pic. The last two events I've been a part of, despite my sending a bio and a picture, the event organisers have used AI to generate my bio and have taken the profile picture from my public images.

Great news! Some spots highlighted in this video were fixed today.
Tomorrow more work will be done. I'm not in Bengaluru but @Virendra0698 will be on 12th Main at 10 AM tomorrow along with Mr. Vijay Haridas who is the wonderful area inspector who made these quick fixes happen.
