I saw someone mention yesterday (@lasselu42) that they hadn’t heard many examples of the Sugar Bytes Transfigure plugin on melodic sounds, it had mainly been demoed on percussion. This kind of effect is much more forgiving on percussive inputs or noise sources, but can definitely take harmonic inputs. So I decided to make this example using it to process guitar. I added a little compression too, just because the spectral processing was quieter than the resynthesized version. Sounds pretty cool, I think. One thing I realised though is that Transfigure lacks custom scales options, so I hope that gets added, as many pretty basic modes or scales are not available: no Harmonic Minor, no Lydian! Sugar Bytes Transfigure explained in 10 mins I just put up a very useful, short intro to Sugar Bytes Transfigure plugin, which came out for iPad yesterday (and is also on desktop), over on my YouTube channel. This is a spectral processing and resynthesis effect.
