If we get Howe, one of the few things I will be optimistic about is his 3 man midfield. Very robust and it works as one unit. This pivot and 10 was always designed to fail. We may even see someone like a Cunha or Zirkzee be converted to a CM like he did with Billing/ Joelinton

We definitely need to invest in a channel running 9. Sesko won’t cut it and is barely ever available to be relied upon. An in behind winger needs to be looked at too. Kroupi and Rayan double buy will be so good.

Yamal’s genius has been a blessing and a curse for Barca. They’ve dominated domestically and have been saved by him when things began looking bleak but his excellence has papered over cracks. Too many free loaders in that team. Recruitment has been poor too, but it’s not obvious

If Yamal wasn’t that good, Barca wouldn’t have settled for the likes of Gordon, Adeyemi, Jesus, Rashford, etc. as his supporting cast in attack. The high line, aggressive approach has also relived their defenders off a lot of accountability For Barca’s board winning is a bonus

100%, the players downed tools weeks ago. Today was an utter embarrassment. As poor as Carrick’s decisions have been, you cannot tell me those guys were honest today. A big part of that is the message the “captain” indirectly or directly gives out. Doesn’t deserve another coach.

Replies saying “erm well Bruno got Carrick the job 🤓”, even if that was true (it isn’t), it doesn’t excuse his attitude this season. He’s been embarrassing. You can somewhat understand poor performances, but his body language has been unacceptable and is contiguous throughout.

Carrick obviously should be sacked but certain players absolutely should not be let off the hook. Whether it’s his fault or not, they’ve all downed tools under him, like they did with Amorim and Ten Hag. Now it’s down to the fans to remember that, even during the bounce.

There are obvious flaws in the way we’re playing and it’s not good for the long term at all. But obviously those that are unable to critically think and look past the result will call you a fake fan if you don’t want Carrick. 20/21 all over again. Delaying the inevitable.

Casemiro having god tier at set pieces has basically messed up this season for us. His elite level scoring ability papered over so many cracks. Carrick got the job mainly off the back of that alone.
