A video shows him being carried in a pet carrier and later roaming around the prime ministerโs residence with a shaved patch on his side.
Adopted under David Cameron in 2011, Larry has since lived through six more prime ministers, become a national celebrity and regularly upstaged visiting dignitaries.

One of my lifetime experiences was visiting a North Sea Oil Rig. The Oil Rig was called THE SANTA FE 125. The experience was UNFORGETTABLE. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING- FROM travelling on a lil boat to the rig & being lifted up on a basket thousands of feet. Being followed by a helicopter to the rig was like something out of a movie. It was family day & I was invited for a special day out to the rigs. The experience was unbelievable. Extremely health & safety conscious. When on the rig I ate like a queen and have never seen the likes! Soโฆ. What benefits have the UK gained by STOPPING UK oil & Gas drilling in the North Sea?
The UK govt officially ended new oil and gas exploration licenses in the North Sea on November 26, 2025, through a policy announced by Energy Secretary Ed Miliband. The main reason was Climate Goals:
New domestic extraction is incompatible with the UK's commitment to limiting global warming to 1.5ยฐC and meeting net-zero carbon targets.
And apparently No Impact on Energy Bills:
Fossil fuels extracted from the North Sea are sold on global international markets rather than reserved exclusively for British consumers, meaning new wells do not lower household energy prices. This is all debatable at this present time!!!
