In addition to formula 'inference', GPT-4 is noticeably better at converting complex questions to formulas, including using SQL via the Google Sheets QUERY() function for more advanced tasks.
Here, "What are the most profitable sales teams?" results in a fully correct QUERY().

We've found that GPT-4 is remarkably good at understanding spreadsheet formulas. In the task below, we "mask out" key formulas from some sample sheets and ask GPT-4 to infer the missing formulas.
