#KissMeStranger Saw some inter fans discussing why Pahn's character didn't just transfer the money back to Fond's character, which was very interesting, bc the consensus among Thai fans seems to be that Fond's character looks like a scammer. So I just wanted to provide some context. In Thailand, we've been warned a lot about not transferring money that's been "mistakenly" transferred to our account to another account. The reason for this is that it's a common tactic when trying to launder money to transfer money through multiple accounts so that it can't be traced back to the original source. If you end up transferring the money, then you could be considered as a mule account and could be held responsible as part of the money laundering chain. That's why, at the beginning, Pahn's character told Fond's character to contact the bank. By going through the official banking channel, it protects you from being considered part of a money laundering network. It's a big issue in Thailand and we get warned abt it all the time, so to Thai fans, it makes sense that Pahn's character doesn't just transfer the money back :)
