Truly I love marinette she's my baby girl but adrien needs to get mad at her and not forgive her for the lying and manipulation forever. He might see her complex situation but that doesn't excuse her betrayal of trust and I hope they execute this properly
my biggest fear is that the resolution of the lie plot and everything will be something like:
Adrien: "Oh, I'm so sorry, Marinette... It's all okay now" *doesn't cry, doesn't get angry about being gaslit, doesn't seem affected in the slightest*
and not because I'm invalidating Marinette's pain (god knows I'm not) but because the show has a tendency to invalidate Adrien's pain and only use it as a plot device to torture Marinette

And while I'm on the topic. I am really, REALLY worried for how they're going to handle Adrien when he inevitably learns the truth. Like. I'm genuinely scared now that they're just going to have him instantly forgive Marinette. If the writers are so willing to directly throw-
when is this fandom going to understand that adrien deserves to know the truth, regardless of whether he ends up feeling destroyed or thinks that it was all his fault

It's relying on being "mature and dark" rather than being actually interesting. Genuinely the only good thing this season was the hints towards Lila's backstory. Otherwise this season has just been pure angstslop so far
