we kept it on for 3 months and let people in batch by batch
what we learned:
1. most projects do great with shared warmed-up Reddit accounts
2. a few niches never work: supplements, gambling, trading, and nsfw. those subreddits delete product recommendations on sight
3. a bad-fit customer costs a lot and can wipe our account pool. they get zero results, they churn, and their removed comments hurt accounts other customers rely on
4. so filter by fit, not by signup date
as of today:
- the waitlist is gone, anyone can sign up
- bad-fit niches get routed to dedicated accounts (warmed up ~10 days in their own subreddits)

but I love to see this, it's probably a sign of where X is going:
1. they've been saying "post video" for months now
but everyone knows posting vid on X is usually pretty destructive for reach.
the audience doesn't consume it long enough like they will for written content = poor distribution
2. X is building out new video features
they are already shipping new livestream features left & right, but X wants to incentivize more video on the platform too.
I can see them building out a video dashboard for you to search video content (similar to youtube)
3. user consumption behavior will have to change
x users love reading content at their own pace.
x has a hurdle to climb if they want to change this standard of behavior
really interested in the data the X team will get from this test.

a few days ago, one of my explainer videos did 600K impressions on X, so I started a YouTube channel that runs completely on its own
it’s called "How It Actually Works"
every day, it picks a topic, writes the script, makes the video and posts it
so far, it has covered interesting topics like how Shazam recognizes a song in seconds, what really happens when you delete a file, and how a contactless card works without a battery
and this is my calendar - every green check is a video that went out by itself, and the blue ones are already queued up
the whole setup is Revid making the videos and Squad running the agent that picks topics, writes and schedules them via PostSyncer
