Despite being short and July 4th, last week really SUCKED...
1. I had to have my single hardest “we need to part ways” convo ever
2. We made an incredible product update - I was so excited - but it led to lower collection in some cases and we got hit w/ contraction
3. We are realizing that our 50x ROI case study is setting customer expectations WAY too high, causing folks to be underwhelmed by 5x ROI

no AI can replace nurses, I’m amazed by the nuanced care, deep empathy, and extreme specialized domain knowledge
there’s absolutely no reason rn to use any Anthropic models, for every model of theirs, there’s a cheaper/better/faster model abundantantly available. we can pace their frontier
some good points but mostly BS and we absolutely do not trust Anthropic
- open source is an enabler and makes intelligence accessible to all which is what the world needs

Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.
