Update regarding community safety on VGen
UNETHICAL BROKERS:
Happy to say we’ve identified many previously unconfirmed JRUhub brokers, affiliates, and other unethical group accounts and they have all been banned for misrepresenting the nature of their profiles and services, intentionally inviting bad actors, and ban evading.
Big thank you to everyone in our community who has helped to investigate, report on-site, and provide detailed proof that our team were then able to review and take action on. Thank you for helping us keep the community safe!
REMAINING BROKERS:
In the short term, broker discovery has been rebalanced, their withheld funds processed through VGen Payments may not be released until after a commission is complete, and all brokers will continue to not have any invite codes. If any broker accounts mistype themselves as an individual or studio, they will now be suspended for at least 1 month immediately upon discovery.
We are still evaluating whether additional long-term actions are required.
Please do not assume all brokers are bad. However, if you do see suspicious behaviour, please continue to report them on-site and we will investigate.
ARTIST INVITE CODES:
There is now a hard limit of 2 unused artist invite codes per Verified Artist at any given time. If you earn more through a challenge or special event drop and you already have 2 in your dashboard, you won’t receive any more.
ARTIST CODE GIVEAWAYS:
Effective Nov 1, 2026, general contests, raffles, or applications are no longer allowed, even if recipients are screened. This is due to the increasing sophistication of groups who fraudulently misrepresent themselves as individuals.
If you see someone hosting a raffle or are in violation of our Artist Code Policy in any way, please report them on-site with a screenshot or link to their violating post and we’ll investigate. Their first offence will result in a warning before more severe administrative actions may be taken for repeated offences, including losing verification status and suspensions.

I had a dm asking about what VTubers make and the artist thought VTubers would make money off their art, so they charged double for all clients. I was wondering if the automatic x2 VTuber label from artists was because they are uninformed...?
A research article from Ahn, Jenny & Collis (2025) followed 2.4 million streamers over 26 months where the median streamer made $43 TOTAL after the entire period, with $4.10 being the monthly median. Twitch Tracker also tells us that 99% of streamers have under 20 viewers.
Most of us are in it for the love of the game and spend more money than we should on art. Price accordingly for your time and skill, but please be aware that if you think we are profiting off of you for a personal use commission, it's very unlikely that is true !
Personally, I find that I bring a lot of free promotion to the artist and I am happy to do so because I love art, I love artists, and I WANT more business to go to them. I'm happy to see a price increase as well. But many of us are going into a personal use comm, just to be told it will be 2-3x more BECAUSE we are a VTuber - that just sucks.

Guys, there is a very mean girl coded creator named Tealitty going around and shit talking GOOD people and turning herself into a victim because she doesn’t get her way.
She’s now gone to absolutely attacking and trying to tear down a fantastic mod and good friend of mine for following community rules.
I haven’t personally dealt with her, THANK GOD, but I have witnessed her behavior with my own ears and eyeballs while she and my friends were streaming AND behind the scenes. With all the events I have seen, the actions I have witnessed from her, and the things I’ve heard her say and seen her type, I believe the way she handles herself could be a safety concern for some people and their communities because she’s just a bully and mean spirited to put it lightly.
It is so bad she has been pre-banned from my community and stream before ever stepping foot into it.
