SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.

Muse is doing what it is good at..
Muse put the title of every shared chat into the web address, and those addresses ended up in public DNS records.

70-75% of the AI spend comes from VC invested companies, and vast majority have zero PMF. This is exactly what I have been saying ROI is a big question and when things get normalized, it may smoke this whole capex spend driven stock growth.
Kimi 3.1 Pro performance released today. Closing the gaps and making Anth very nervous. Rumor, Anth is rushing to DC for help.

I'm thrilled to be launching Econvitals today. It's been the main way in which I have been tracking and understanding the economy over the last several months. And I decided I might as well share it with all of you--for free.
Has a combo of website, email lists & social media.
$meta - stock holders don't flame me.. this is just a fun laugh...it is a great company and amazing rev...
Meta is having a muse moment today.
Been playing w/ codex (& cloud browser of theirs) while I continue to use my cursor for coding, etc., I MUST say I am very impressed with what OpenAI has done w/ Astra.Very impressive in terms of the outcomes it drives. OpenAI came from behind and it is giving good fight to Anth.
Mac's vision library/OCR is darn good for handling many document types. It is free and no need to pay anyone any $ if you already have mac (m4/m5) and you have cursor/codex to do simple coding.

Alex @Kantrowitz Big Tech Podcast has been on a heater - it just dropped one with Google’s Sundar Pichai.
Alex asks if GCP is sold out to 2028, ala AWS.👇
“Yeah…today, if a customer is asking us for compute in ‘27, that is incredibly difficult to do… we are at early stages of the most consequential technology ever.” -@sundarpichai 👀
