i’m joining @aeonframework as an engineer.
the last few months i’ve been building skopos and a bunch of other stuff, contributing to projects like @elizaOS and @making_cindy, @merit_systems shipping security fixes across other projects ,working on x402, and spending way too much time messing with agents.
somewhere in there aeon stopped being an experiment and became something i ran every day. first on my own projects, then for security research, market research, and coding. then i started contributing. now i’m working on it
what stood out: @aaronjmars and @0xNurstar are both ridiculously hands-on, the project moves fast, and there’s a very real bias toward actually building things instead of spending weeks talking about what might be possible.
i’ve also met some genuinely great people through all of this, including @z0r0zzz and had a few conversations that turned into opportunities i can’t talk about yet.
one of those eventually became this.
i’ll be building with @aaronjmars and @OxNurstar, and spending a lot more time around builders who are using agents, building agents, and figuring out what they can actually do.
i’ve already been running aeon pretty hard these past couple weeks, and it’s been a genuinely fun team to build with.
very happy to be here.
back to work.

The LiteLLM's attack-chain post is the most useful read of the week.
27 May: master key lands in a public commit force-pushed away, never revoked
10 Oct: attacker uses it, gets an org owner's GitHub token
21 Oct: backdoored 1.107.0 on PyPI
This teaches us that rewriting history doesn't revoke a key!
↳ A verified-secret scan of git history on a cron is built to prevent this. In fact Aeon's vuln-scanner runs TruffleHog --only-verified over tree + history every run, so a live key gets flagged on the next scheduled run.
Activate your vuln-scanner-equipped aeon agents below!

What our scanner found on @ByteDanceOSS UI-TARS: the local agent ran wide open, so any page you visited or device on your network could drive it.

a few days ago @brian_armstrong tweeted about adding /feedback endpoints to apis so agents can report bugs and suggest improvements.
i think it can become a very big design space for the internet. here is the problem today:
>> when an autonomous agent hits an outdated doc, a 404 page or an unclear API, that failure dies in your local terminal. everyone gets zero signal, unless you manually comb through gigabytes of raw session logs.
over the last few days, i rolled out a unified feedback architecture across @aeonframework & @miroshark_ entire stack: 6 production apps and 31 agent skills.
here is what the /feedback loop actually looks like in production:
1. unified ingestion & enrichment
we run a central inbox (node + sqlite on railway). when an agent hits /feedback on any app or skill, the server enriches the report with facts the agent doesn't even know:
- exact deployed commit sha
- caller session id & langfuse trace id
- live route health state
- cached run diagnosis if a simulation or background job failed
2. automated credential scrubbing
agents paste raw error outputs. error outputs carry authorization headers, jwt tokens, and api keys.
we built a multi-tier redactor (vendor key patterns, bearer tokens, private keys) that scrubs every string before it touches disk or logs.
3. semantic deduplication into upvotes
if 20 agents hit the same broken route, i dont want 20 separate issues.
the server computes word similarity across open reports for the same app. if overlap is >= 60%, it treats the report as an upvote on the existing issue.
your backlog automatically ranks itself by how often your agent fleet actually gets blocked by it.
4. closing the loop with worker agents
an inbox is useless if a human still has to triage and write the fix by hand.
we built an autonomous worker agent in base:0xbf8e8f0e8866a7052f948c16508644347c57aba3 called feedback-builder. it runs in the background, pulls the top-voted open issues, verifies the claim against the actual repository code, writes the fix, and opens a pull request.
the full cycle:
1. agent hits an edge case in production
2. agent calls /feedback
3. server attaches commit, trace, and route health
4. fleet upvotes the issue automatically
5. worker agent writes the patch and opens a PR
the software factory thesis isn't just letting an llm write code. it's closing the loop so software maintains itself through the agent interface.

🚨 THE INTERNET IS FACING ONE OF THE WORST WAVES OF CYBERSECURITY THREATS EVER.
More than 20 major cyber incidents and security warnings have been reported in recent days, affecting banks, governments, cloud platforms and widely used software.
And some of the details are shocking.
1. PHP, used by a huge part of the web, had 2 critical flaws (CVSS 9.2) that let attackers run code remotely
2. Governments in 9+ countries took websites offline as a precaution, including France, the Netherlands, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Denmark and the UK
3. eMudhra, a certificate authority, had the keys of 8 certificates exposed. One key was the number 4
4. Railway says hackers may have accessed decrypted customer secrets
5. Zeabur was breached, with 321,810 accounts affected, and is shutting down
6. Japan's Onamae Desktop Cloud stopped up to 26,739 servers after malware was found
7. LiteLLM, a popular AI library, was poisoned and stole cloud and AI keys
8. OVHcloud's CLI tool was backdoored
9. GitLab disclosed a CVSS 10 flaw that lets attackers take over servers without logging in
10. State Bank of India confirmed 3,897 customer records on the dark web
11. Data of California students was stolen from ETS, with the intruder inside for about 4 months
12. Bullhorn took its platform offline after a cyber incident
13. Palo Alto firewalls are still being exploited by ransomware groups Qilin and Inc
14. Researchers say AI agents were used to target 400+ banks and payment companies in Latin America
15. Axios reports US banks are finding unauthorized AI agents inside customer accounts
16. Reuters reports one hacker used AI agents to break into 100+ company websites, including Deere

last week I shared something that felt early:
as the cost of shipping software drops 10x, the cost of securing it should go up at least 2x. probably 5x.
agents now write, review, and deploy code at a speed no team could match even a year ago. every one of those commits is a new attack surface. more apps, more endpoints, more dependencies, more keys sitting in more places. the volume of software is exploding.
meanwhile attackers got the same tools. finding a bug, writing the exploit, and scaling it across thousands of targets is now cheap and fast too. the asymmetry flipped: offense scales with compute, defense still mostly scales with headcount.
so the math is simple. if the supply of code goes 10x and the cost of attacking it collapses, security spend can’t stay flat. it has to multiply.
after this week in cybersecurity, that’s no longer a hot take. it’s becoming consensus. a16z just said the same thing.
if agents are writing the code, agents have to be defending it. 24/7, on every commit, faster than the attackers using the exact same models.

we've just lived the worst 48h of cyber security ever
one of our mission at base:0xbf8e8f0e8866a7052f948c16508644347c57aba3 is to make software safe
how? we've built an agent framework that works 24/7, improve & secure real software (amongst other things)
we've been running it for the past 3 months, securing 4.8M stars repos ⭐ on GitHub across 150 orgs, including Nvidia, Google & Microsoft
recently we've started to run bug bounty autonomously with aeon & we're buying back base:0xbf8e8f0e8866a7052f948c16508644347c57aba3 with 50% of the revenue generated
3 months ago i asked: what if aeon fixes bugs across all open source software & uses the bounty money to buyback base:0xbf8e8f0e8866a7052f948c16508644347c57aba3 ?
today @aeonframework received its first bug bounty. from @stripe ⭐
found autonomously by aeon.
the cybersecurity supercycle has started 🤷♂️
more coming soon

Seems people are finally waking up to $aeon being special. If everything works out as planned this is a billion dollar coin. User numbers (agents and humans) are climbing daily and it's beeing used by engineers at big ass companies like Nvidia, Anthropic, Microsoft, Deloitte, Google, SpaceX, OpenAi... Be more bullish.
