This cannot continue happening to disabled people. This #wheelchair is my mobility. My entire life is powered by this wheelchair.

Making an experience accessible isn’t a 1-and-done effort — it requires continual care and attention. Like security, privacy, usability, or any other aspect of trust that matters, #accessibility must be an ongoing commitment to maintain and improve over time. #a11y

📢 I have some big news!!
🚀 We've just released the very first accessibility settings page of the history of GitHub.
We're making @github a better place for everyone.
💪I'm so proud of being part of the Accessibility Team at GitHub.

ALT A screenshot of the new accessibility settings of GitHub, where you can manage keyboard shortcuts choosing to disable "character key shortcuts". This turns off the keyboard shortcuts that only use single characters like s, g c, and . (the period key). Shortcuts which make use of modifier keys like command and control are not affected by this setting.
