@taggartvanetten overtraining works!!!
@swens__
Have a really close friend who has never ran a marathon or road race before and just started running seriously around 6-8 months ago.
6’3 ~205. Big dude. Fuels and eats like a mad man.
Going for sub 3 @ Indy for debut road race.
These are his last big workouts.
5x5k with 1k float
2x6 mile 1 mile float
Do we think he can go sub 3? I think so.
@taggartvanetten need your opinion here..
What we think he should go out @ pace wise? I told him to send and see what happens…

Maybe a bit of hot take but if you’re new to running “easy days” shouldn’t exist. Everyday will feel hard until you adapt.
New runners… stop caring about heart rate on “easy” days and just go run. Whatever speed you want.
I ran all my “easy” days at like 7:10-6:50 pace when I first started running.
I didn’t even know heart rate was a thing.
Took me like a full year to finally find an easy pace that works for me.
I fell in love with running by running not worrying about what my heart rate said everyday

Another day, another moonshot for @VCUBaseball catcher Jacob Lee.
His Cape Cod League leading 4th home run of the summer went 425 to dead center to open up the scoring between Brewster and YD.

VCU catcher Jacob Lee with his 3rd Cape League homer in just 6 games going oppo taco here.
If you guys don’t think I’m posting every Lee HR this summer, you’re wrong.

Jacob Lee’s second home run in three days is an absolute moonshot that went 417 feet to center field.
Would love to have seen launch angle numbers on this one. Elite mid-major bat heading into year three at VCU.

2026 Brooklyn Half 1:17:05 (new PB)
This race broke me last year and my coach and I realized I needed more racing experience.
4 weeks ago I ran a 2:43 marathon
1 week ago I ran a 57:20 10 miler
Next week I’ll race my first 5 miler
Toe the line and Keep showing up🔨
Onto summer training…
