Florida woman accused of killing a neighborhood cat, blending its organs and drinking them. Juliana Alyssa Brown, 21, was arrested in Pasco County, Florida, after allegedly admitting to holding a neighborhood cat captive for several days in May 2024. According to investigators, she repeatedly tortured the animal before drowning it, then skinned it, placed its organs in a blender and drank them. She reportedly preserved part of its remains in alcohol for months. Even more disturbing, the arrest affidavit says she admitted that hearing the cat scream in pain sexually aroused her. This goes far beyond ordinary animal cruelty. Someone capable of deliberately inflicting this kind of suffering raises serious public safety concerns. Investigators expressed those same concerns and requested a high bond. She’s charged with felony aggravated animal cruelty. If convicted, she faces up to five years in prison. Five years doesn’t seem nearly enough for something this horrific.

Can a drive-through employee refuse to serve you simply because they think you’re rude? A woman pulls up to order a smoothie, but the employee refuses to serve her because she doesn’t like her attitude. Businesses have the right to refuse service under certain circumstances, but where’s the line? Being disrespectful is one thing. Threatening or harassing an employee is another. Should an employee have the authority to make that decision alone, or should a manager get involved? There has to be a reasonable standard. Otherwise, refusing service becomes a matter of personal opinion.
